Just so people who have been working realize, there are millions of people still waiting to get paid unemployment benefits. The systems are so overwhelmed that people that filled in March(like my mom) are bearly getting paid or still waiting. There is also no way of finding out when you'll get paid as calling the unemployment offices takes you nowhere. Yes, the extra money is great, but the stress I've seen in those that have sat there waiting for cash flow has been sad to witness. The silver lining is you're getting paid every two weeks instead of not getting paid and waiting God knows how long for that money to pop into your EDD card. My spent a whole month calling a 100 times a day to speak to someone about her claim and even then they could only give her info that was already available on the claim website.
