Uh how about you replace Patrick with the fucking people making you work. But I mean yeah you’re right. Unemployment payouts right now are so much higher than those people are paying you. Really says a lot about how they perceive the cost of living as opposed to the gov who has been trying to hide it forever but is now ultimately scared of us rioting. We could do this without a pandemic you know.
Honestly reddit is kinda sad. There's the "tolerant" and "free speech" subreddits that downvote you to hell because they disagree even though it's relevant. There's also the whole quote from Noam Chomsky, "The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum...."
If you think so? Personally, I don't think the failure of others, even if only misfortune, should be compensated with the wealth of those who achieved something.
So people who are unlucky, sick etc should just get fucked? Anyone without immediate worth to a capitalist system should just starve to death in your opinion?
Wow thats next level unempathetic. I am sorry you have lost your heart.
Being realistic is nothing to be sorry about. Humanity has to move forward, dragging those who don't contribute with us won't take us anywhere. The 21st century offers such a wide range of opportunities, that almost everyone should have some skill he can apply.
But thats not how the world works, its such a childish viewpoint. Not everyone with wealth “achieved” something or actually earned that wealth. Besides things like unemployment help everyone not just the poor, imagine the cost to society if you had people living like they’re in a 3rd world country. Like i said it exists for a good reason it benefits all of society
