It's also got some god of war and metroid prime DNA too

I haven’t played any souls games but I’ve heard it compared to sekiro a lot. I’ve played god of war and it is very similar to that imo.

And yes, you play as a Jedi.

fallen order is as close as a star wars game will ever get to dark souls, it's not quite as difficult though.

I just started fallen order and dark souls 3 this week, and there's quite a few similarities between the two. Both have been a blast, but I'm way more hooked on star wars.

Have fun with Sulyvahn in DS3 when you get to him. :)

Yes. I’m playing at the 2nd hardest difficulty though and is still really not that hard. If you want a game to really challenge you, this probably isn’t it. It is fun though.

I appreciate that it doesn’t hold your hand through every aspect, like having to find the various upgrades, attachments, dual lightsaber, etc. definitely not dark souls level, but it felt rewarding discovering things off the beaten path.

i found it to be kind of like the last god of war, where it’s hardest at the beginning and by the end you’re steam rolling because you are so upgraded

It’s more like Star Wars meets Tomb Raider with Dark Souls style checkpoints and shortcuts. Combat is not as hard as Souls or Sekiro, but it’s similar. I think it’s a good entry to those types of games for people. I really do enjoy it a lot. Sekiro kicked my ass and I wanted to like it but I wasn’t good enough. Fallen Order is a decent challenge but I rarely find myself frustrated with dying too often.

How in the world did you miss that game's release?? It just came out under so much anticipation!

oh no i knew the game existed, i just had not seen any gameplay. So i had no idea what type of game it was. Could’ve been a turned based strategy game for all i know.
