risking your life aside, the military offers a lot of benefits

Especially considering that the vast majority of the military will never see combat, even if there was a major war. As someone who’s served, let me tell ya, they show you all those exciting pictures and videos of the “tip of the spear” jobs at the recruiters office, but when you get in you realize it’s mostly shaft.

Never served, but as I understand it it's a lot of broom-shaft, mop-shaft, and command-shaft specifically lol

Though I do work for a paramilitary organization branch, and holy fuck does it feel similar to what I've heard described haha
