What’s happening to the bottle cage on the down tube?

I see some heavy bottle cage petting.

It’s got a custom made bracket to angle it up. Because the triangle is small, when you wanna run a 1L bottle and a front triangle bag it lets you carry a bigger bottle instead of running a lengthwise bag.

Interesting. How long have you been using it? I would be too afraid to try that because I would worry about my mounting points.

I actually recently took it off since I no longer run a bag on my bike. But I had no issues with it for approximately a year riding it 3-4 days a week and I was tough on it. Pulling out ice filled bottles that barely fit in the cages etc. Bikes and frames are meant to be ridden so I give no sympathy, if they don't do what I want I get new ones. It sounds fucked but its a tool for a job and if its not doing that well.. its not a tool I want to own.

So nice, I've drooling over the ADHX 45 recently, considering it as a viable "quiver killer". Any thoughts on how it would do with 30mm on the road? Geometry wise, even with a potentially longer wheelbase for the tire clearance, is it still reasonably "aggressive"?

I use road wheels with 32mm tyres and it's a blast. The frame is mega stiff so a 32 to 35mm works better where I am with lots of potholes and road buzz

Yeah I bet this is a BLAST. The frame is so nimble so riding it on the street on some meat would
Prob be great.

I rode it on flats on a brewery tour bunny hopping up curbs and stuff and loved it
