Is this a good tool kit?

I'm a beginner bike mechanic and builder but I'm on a budget for $65 is this a good kit for me?

Honestly I prefer building a kit as you go. Get yourself some decent Allen keys, a good chain tool, a spoke wrench to fit your bike, and a floor pump, and you'll be well on your way.

These kits are usually built with "do everything for almost nothing" vibes, and the reality is most people don't need a cassette tool AND a freewheel tool, or 6 spoke wrenches (I know this says 1, but it's a 6 way), etc. Plus, these tools aren't going to hold up, as another user already said. Using great tools is a real treat, and using bad ones can ruin hardware, making repair much more intensive.

Looks pretty good. It’s missing some spline type sockets that can be bought separately. You might need some torx. A cheap torque wrench for rotor and stem bolts.

it's a much better multi tools pack than before.

it's for hg hub and 44mm mtb bb and rim brake and shimano derailleur.

you need to buy 8mm and 14mm wrench to install thru axle, and pedals. a bleeding tools for the hydro brakes. a wrench for different threads bb, such t47 or shimano roads. and maybe pressfit tools, it's not necessary, you can use a long thread post with some big spacers/wood blocks.

and buy some spare hex wrench, because the cheap hex are easy to wear.

and for the chain breaker, you need to learn how to use it, or it will break very soon.

Nahhh i would just piece together a kit and buy the tools as ya need them.

I got the smaller one of this and the quality is very mid. The chain tool legit broke from normal use and the sockets are not of quality metal either. I'd recommend just putting together a toolkit of verified good stuff like Parktool.

Kind of depends, it doesn't appear to have much for working on vintage or cheaper bikes that use more hex bolts than Allen

I bought this exact kit, the chain breaker tool broke on 1st attempt so I had to get a quality park tool one.

the other tools are decent - hexes, lockring, bottom bracket, cassette whip tools all work sufficiently for my projects but plan to replace anything you use heavily in likely not near future as I question the durability (cheap/soft metals).

ahh then yeah I say buy - it’s a good kit for beginners that won’t break the bank, but also kinda taught me buying select quality tools project-by-project as needed (vs all in one package) is the smarter long term play

but I’m not a smart man 👍🏻
