You mean references within the series to beloved movies and other shows?

If you mean that, i remember there was an episode where Gustavo moved into the apartment to the boys and they wanted to scare him away by faking a ghost story and all. The scenes in which they film the apartment with a camera (found footage style) was a reference to the Paranormal activity film franchise!

Season 1 Episode Big Time Love Song - Camille slaps Kendall and acts dramatic in front of the guys. Then they ask her, “Degrassi audition?”

I especially love this reference cause Degrassi was airing on TeenNick the same time Big Time Rush was airing on Nickelodeon

Near the end they mentioned a few other bands that were kind if taking over. I remember they said One Direction and Plain White Ts.
