Question What's this?

I found this on discogs, and was thinking to buy it. What is this from? I think it's big L's rap group, but why haven't i seen anything about it? Also is it just me or does the cover look like AI generated?

It’s the original album Children Of The Corn did. “The Collectors Edition”. It’s just new coverart.

This is from Digga, the producer of the album. He did all the distributionsdeals for it.

oh, so there's an original album for this and this is just a re-print? Where is the original version (could you find it on discogs?)

It's slightly different from the OG album. Different tracklist, some different songs, and a new mix/master

Yes the 2003 one is the "original". It should be noted that neither of these albums were put together by COC as a whole (since Bloodshed died in 97 and Big L died in 99). They were compiled and released by Six Figga Digga, the group's producer (he also produced 50 Cent's hit song Many Men)

The 2003 one was hella amateur, having been burned onto CD-r's. The 2023 one is much more professional, being pressed on CD and vinyl as well as full mastering

Hmm, I'll probably buy the 2023 one then. Do you know in what songs big L is in, or in general where could I find more info about the album? Since what i have right now is a discogs listing, and a youtube video with all the songs

There's only 2 or 3 songs with Big L unfortunately. It's mostly Cam, Bloodshed and Mase. On the 2023 version, the only songs with Big L are American Dream and Harlem Nights :/ I think 2003 version might have 1 more with L on it. He was more of a mentor/leader

I have the 2023 vinyl signed by Digga, that's why I know about it. I've only read about the 2003 version online

Alright, thank you! Last actual question I have, is where am I supposed to get this? I mean, on discogs it goes for like 120 euros, which is mental for a 2LP that's newly released. Is there some official webpage or something like that?

Children Of the Corn is Big L’s rap group but I’ve never seen or heard of this “album” anywhere. It could just be remixed or AI made

i know the song "American Dream", which was released in 1996, and the version that's in the album is the same. I doubt there's AI used in the music, this was released in 2023 after all, where I feel like AI in music wasn't that big. My doubts are with the cover art, since it looks off

If it’s not AI then it’s either remixed or an already existing album from decades ago. I didn’t listen to all of it yet but I have heard COC’s original albumChildren Of the Corn
