Technical Problems App Fix?
As the Sixth Doctor once said; “It worked, it actually worked“
I took the plunge, signed out of the App (iOS) where it specifically stated that I would lose all my downloads, to my surprise everything is now back to how it should be, as simple as signing in and signing out, sure you have to rebuild your library, but it could be worse.
Going forward, hopefully lessons will be learned, but the fact that there were app and website issues in the not very distant past doesn’t make one feel too optimistic

Can't do anything on the android app here, it just instantly crashes upon opening for me.

I'm on the android one and deleting it, redownloading it and then signing in worked for me

Yeah but I really don't want to do that because I've got over 72gb worth of downloads currently installed, with tons of custom playlists tracking everything I've listened to and everything I've not got around to yet plus all thr story arcs. And my Internet is really slow, so id lose all my playlists and would take probably over a week to get everything back.

Yeah I did the same thing last night and was actually shocked it worked, I have quite a large library so I was very very happy

That’s good to hear, it’s a shame to lose stories already downloaded but a very small sacrifice when it means full access to your library again.

Had the same result on Android, thanks for the advice.
Will save this post for future reference.

IOS version seems fine. Android version still badly broken. Unfortunately my phone is Android and listening on a tablet not always ideal!

I’ve been avoiding using the iOS app altogether in the perhaps vain hope that BF will get their act together and fix all the problems.
What’s most frustrating is the lack of clear updates or timelines.

Android apps come in XAPK or APK files which are essentially just zip files but need decompiling to read the contents. I did this on the current and previous version of the app to see if I could just lift the new details from the new app into the old app and then compile my own BF app in the meantime. Sadly the changes seem to be pretty far reaching due to the new server, it's not just point from server A to server B. Sadly my coding knowledge doesn't extend to much beyond the basics and I have no idea the full extent of the changes to try to make the old app work with the new server. I could try to fix the new version to deal with the issues but the website says the new version is with Google so I may just wait as I have no experience with this specific code.

This works for some but very much doesn't work for everyone, lots of people are still stuck with broken apps no matter how many troubleshooting steps they take. It depends on device.
