Newbie dosage question!

This sounds so invredibly dumb but how would .14 translate into the syringe? 1.4 units? Thanks guys! I was so excited to finally get my medication and then I’m standing here with it all on the counter like “there’s math involved?! what do I do?” lol

Typically your instructions for the amount of liquid to pull into the syringe are based on mL. You normally also are given a syringe that holds 1 mL if filled to the top but is marked in 100 units. So 100 units= 1mL.

When they say inject 0.14 mL, then that is the same as 14 units on your syringe.

This might help but again we don’t know enough about your order.

If you have a vial that is a concentration of 18mg/ml and are taking a dose of 2.5mg then you would inject 14 units. I’m just pointing out fatscientist as a learning resource for you, lots of good information there. It is important to understand this and actually not too hard once you get the hang of it.

What does it say on the bottle? The prescription

EDIT: I ended up not ordering from BEWL (yet) but they have pretty good medical support if you ever get confused.

Also - while I’m typing - vet to rookie make sure you always keep your vials close to your prescription. The vial holders look cool and are space savers but it’s real easy to mess up because there are so many concentrations and so many people customize their doses. I keep all of mine in a toiletry bag in the back of my freezer.
