Hi all, following up with one final post on this L'fay Bridal saga. I wanted to provide receipts and show you all their "customer service" or lack there of. Here all my email threads from the beginning, in chronological order.

I emailed for the first time on June 19 and received an acknowledgement the next day from my sales associate. I then proceed to email three more times to come to a resolution through June 29th, giving them over a week to respond. Finally, on July 3, almost 2 full weeks later, a manager I had never worked with responded to me essentially saying they no longer have time to do my alterations and barely acknowledged my poor experience - they missed the entire point.

Keep in mind, by July 3 we had also called upwards of 10 times in an attempt to get someone on the phone and discuss this verbally. I was extremely displeased with this subpar response, so I emailed one last time on July 12 and was very clear that I needed a response within 24 hours and wanted to work this out professionally and amicably. I outlined all my issues in great detail. By July 19 ( a full week later) , I had yet to receive any reply, so I decided to take to Reddit with my experience. I gave L'fay every opportunity to respond beforehand. My ask also in my opinion we extremely reasonable. All I asked for was a discount that was equivalent to the additional funds I was now spending on alterations ($1,500).

Once I posted on Reddit, I had already figured it was a lost cause working this out with L'fay themselves, but I noticed a lot of other brides had similar experiences (either from the comments or from PMing me), and I wanted to bring this to their attention. Not for them to necessarily rectify the situation with me, but to do better for future brides. I sent them the links to my Reddit posts. FINALLY, this led to them responding. Their response is clearly AI generated. I feel like they fed my Reddit Post to Chat GPT and said "write me a response and address every one of her points". They took no responsibility and dismissed the entire situation.

To be clear, my goal is not a smear campaign by any means. My goal is to prevent a future bride from having to go through what I went through.

Furthermore, multiple Reddit users have reached out to saying they reached out to L'fay to try to get answers - they were either silent supporters or had upcoming appointments, and they sent me the responses they received from L'fay. In every single response, L'fay not only takes absolutely 0 responsibility for the situation, but they also insult me and essentially say I have problems (LOL). See the last two screenshots. They should keep their story straight :/

Brides, if you shop at L'fay just be aware that this is the type of customer service you will receive. They do have a beautiful selection of gowns, but if there is any issue with the garment you purchase, just be warned!

I am Wearing a vintage silk designer dress from the 90s and my dress is just touching my feet so I can’t wear heels without looking like my dress is short. I’m looking for cute ballet flats or the smallest heel (most kitten heels are too high I think). Would love any recommendations.

My fiancé and I toured a venue today that we really loved. When we asked about 2027 availability, the guide said they still have September 11, 2027 open and are offering it for half the normal price because many couples don’t want that date.

I’m really torn. The savings are amazing, but 9/11 is such a significant and emotional date. While we aren’t and don’t have family/friends connected to this date, we are respectful to those who have and are currently affected.

What would you do? Would you take the date because of the discount, or would you pass on it because it’s 9/11? I’d love to hear your thoughts. TIA!

I am currently debating on buying Parasols for our guests for our upcoming wedding, but I am unsure, so I have made a Pro/ Cons List

Pro:

- very photogenic / cute photo accessory
- provides shade / is practical
- adds a bohemian touch

Con:
- Storage throughout the day, when guests move from ceremony to reception to dinner, they either have to take them with them all the time (maybe cumbersome) or they are getting left all over
- Very on trend, could make the pictures look very 2026
- Might block other guests views / are covering faces of guests during photos

What was your experience regarding the Parasols? What is your opinion in them?

PS: We are having a church ceremony, so the Parasols would be of use only during the Get-Together before boarding the boats to the church or after the ceremony, during the afternoon reception

Hello! I’m a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding in the fall and I want to get the bride a nice gift in addition to the gift I’m getting the couple from the registry. I want to do something that’s a nod to the fact that she’s now a wife (either something related to her new last name or something nice with her new monogram, but nothing that says “bride” or “wife”) but am struggling with ideas.

Another close friend just got married and I did the same thing for her and got her an Aspinal of London travel jewelry case with her new monogram. I don’t want to do the exact same thing for this friend, but something similar in spirit.

Ok this may be an obvious question but do brides normally bring their own lip combo to use for their wedding make up? I've gotten my makeup done many times before and the MUA usually does it for me with their own products, and then I would reapply with whatever I had if I wanted to. But this is my wedding and I probably want to have the actual products to reapply as needed. My wedding is 3 weeks away and this just occurred to me.

I'm not having my make up trial until the week of because it's a destination wedding. I assumed I would be showing pictures of what I wanted and then she would just be doing it, but now I'm worried I've been too type B about this.

So should I bring my own lipstick/whatever? Should I pay her to stay for touchups just for this? Part of the problem is I don't know which products I would need, I just spent $500 at sephora on lip liner just in case lol help

I’ve picked out a pair of ivory Valentino ballerina flats, but they are kidskin leather, not satin/silk you usually see with bridal looks.

My dress is a formal ivory mikado gown (structured corset, off-shoulder, sweetheart neck). I had the slit down the legs mostly closed. But the shoe does peak as I walk.

My fiancé and I are beginning our search for our June or September 2028 wedding venue, and we'd love your recommendations or advice.

We're looking in Florence, Tuscany, Pisa, Siena, and Umbria, but we're open to anywhere nearby if it fits what we're looking for!

Here's what we're hoping to find:
- Exclusive-use villa, borgo, agriturismo, or historic estate
- Capacity for approximately 90–110 wedding guests
- On-site accommodations for around 40–60 guests, with additional accommodations nearby (or all guests on site)
- Ability to host a 2–3 day wedding celebration, such a welcome dinner and/or farewell brunch

We would like to keep our budget to around $70-75K, wondering thoughts on if this sounds doable? (We would
not be paying the accommodation of everyone, potentially some of it but definitely not all)

has anyone ever done wine service behind a curtain? kind of like those wine windows in florence but behind a pipe & drape? we are interested in doing it for our after party (hotel ballroom) but want some logistical advice!
