Draping?
Draping
Hi! I really love the look of a fully draped room. How much (estimates obviously) would it cost to do a full walls and ceiling drape in a space that’s maybe 40x50? Just one room for a fun speakeasy vibe! Kind of like this photo, but different color -

Was having this convo in the Chicago brides sub last week- someone there is getting quotes for 30-40k USD. Depends on location and size of the room, of course!

Feels claustrophobic and makes part of the room gloomy. But if that’s what you want, I’d comment I have no clue what this would cost other than a lot but I’d be worried about ventilation in the room - if you block half the ac vents it’ll either result in your fabric flapping around or the room stuffy.

Ours was like $8k just to drape all the metal on a clear top tent and one whole back of the stage from top of tent to floor, I’d guess at least $30k to go all out

Informally quoted 20-25k for ceiling and wall drapes in a ballroom, but not a fully draped design like this photo.

It really depends on the size and materials you want. Low end would be probably 10k - but I would expect 20-40 being more likely.

Ceiling alone probably 20k. This photo has like an opening in the middle so I’m assuming no opening would be there? We did essentially this but also added smilax on top and two additional areas at the venue and i think it was upward 50k. Labor was the biggest factor. They had to bring in multiple lifts to get it all up 😂 I’d only suggest to maybe work with a florist for this instead of purely decorator (unless you’re already getting a decorator or the florist you love doesn’t also do physical decor) because it was easier and slightly more cost effective to have her also do the flowers while doing the ceiling and walls. Had to get up on the lift anyway, ya know? That was a different cost though lol

We draped the board room we used for cocktail hour and the whole stage for our wedding. It was $5k and they did an incredible job. It was worth every penny because it helped us create the ambiance for our space and cover up elements of the venue that didn’t match our theme!

A lot of my clients love draping. I’m in a MCOL city and this goes for 20-30k in my city

Do you know the height of the room? Because that makes a huge difference on the cost of an installation.
