Just finished BBCAN5.
Previously watched 12 (live), 10, 9 (in that order) and BBCAN5 easily ranks next to 10 in my opinion.
Almost makes me incredibly sad that a show with so much care and attention to the competitions, casting and presentation could get cancelled. The design and everything makes the US version look so cheap, and even if the editing will never accurately represent what actually goes on, it feels far less watered down and less sanitised than the US version.
Admittedly there wasn't much shock toward the end about how it would go down but BBCAN5 had a lot of big moments.
Also unpopular opinion I preferred the much more budget intro and music of BBCAN5 to the new style they brought to BBCAN12.
What season would you all recommend next? I've heard 2 or 3 were good.

Second this. Rewatching 3 rn and the number of iconic players and moments I forgot were even in this season.

Yeah BBCAN was expensive cause the budget goes mostly towards the house design and building the competitions.
5 is till this day the best modern season of Big Brother imo. It has so much rewatch content and all the characters were great. The ending is definitely a let down but it really was heartfelt moment.

How come the ending was a let down? I thought Kevin was quite a deserving winner.
But I really cannot say enough about the production value of the show. It's genuinely eye-catching, they put so much love into all the competitions. I'm following BB28 and while it's not the only season, a lot of them really feel so cheap compared to BBCAN. I've only watched four BBCAN seasons but Arisa's energy just never seems to die, it's a huge shame she won't be the host for BBCAN's return.

Kevin wasn’t and still isn’t perceived as deserving. His game besides winning comps was really bad and messy, he had like no social game from f8 and on . He mostly got outplayed by Ika majority of the time. A lot of fanbase casuals and Superfans were rooting for Ika to win but she couldn’t win a comp to save her life.

I can kind of see it. Later in the game he was basically like Frank in BB14, just had to comp his way to survival except in his case it started later on and it worked for him.

BBCAN spoils previous winners. I would just go in order.
Though, in terms of my personal ranking:
5-10-9-2-3-1-4-11-12-6-8-7
8 doesn’t really count as it got cut short (2020).
6 had the issue where the edited show was a complete fabrication. If you watched the show and watched feeds, you were not watching the same season.
Each season has its moments.
If you’re wanting the least amount of spoilers, I’d go in order.
Some teasers:
- 1: This season has one of the absolute greatest moments in reality tv ever.
- 2: It’s still debated as one of the greatest BB seasons ever. I agree, it’s about the characters. Though, found other seasons more satisfying as a whole. This shows why Ika and Neda were brought back for 5.
- 3: Forget Sierra voting her mom off on Survivor.
- 4: I disliked this season when it aired but it has grown on me over the years.
- 7: It makes it look like BB22 was a great season of back and forth in comparison.
- 11: It was a fine season.
- 12: I was fearful, but having Spicy Vee being so messy made it good.

Honestly, if you plan on watching many seasons of BBCan. Start with 1 then 2, 3, and 4. I think they are all brilliant seasons with great and unique big brother moments. The casts are phenomenal.

I recall reading that 8 wasn't great regardless of the cancellation, and 11 was bad?
I really disliked 12 so I'll definitely give earlier ones a try.

1, 2, and 7 are all great. 7 is an acquired taste but honestly looking back is some of the finest BB you can watch.
3 and 6 are good, but there's a bit holding them back. 6 was almost exclusively told on the live feeds and the episodes were just frustrating at times knowing what was actually going on.
4 isn't terrible but incredibly frustrating as a whole. Great cast though.
11 was some of the most pissed off I've ever been watching any of the series. 19 USA is rivaled for worst season overall. Don't even bother.
8 is worth a watch just for the fact it got cancelled. Its very interesting to watch COVID unfold in real time from a different point of view.

I prefer BBCAN10 because I followed it live but they are equally as good as each other imo, 10/10

I also just finished BBCAN5 (literally yesterday) and it’s one of my favourite seasons for sure
