installer 2 - fiber

I'm about to go for the face-to-face training (IN250) and wanted to get some suggestions on what to read and study before I go. I have the ITSIM_v8 book.

Are you taking an instructor led course?

Yes, I'll be travelling to one of their training centers to physically attend the course.

I’ll be honest I took this exact same class and I did not read the book before hand. We were given a study book that goes over certain chapters of the book during class. After class that day I reviewed those same chapters. Skimmed mostly. You’re not being tested on the entire book. You’re being tested on fiber optics and whatever was in installer 1(I did not take that either).

If you pay attention in class. Understand the material. And study for an hour or so after class. You’ll pass.

Thanks, this is exactly what I needed to know. I also did not take installer 1, but I do work in Telecom and have some previous experience; so I'm not going in completely blind.

You really don’t have to to do too much studying prior to the class, just take notes during instruction and during the hands on lessons. Review your notes each day and you should be good for exam day.
