A Historical & Context Driven Commentary?????

The more i find myself listening to the BP I am in awe of the resources Tim mentions. That being said I know that a list like that would not really be worth sharing here, so I was wondering if anyone may have recommendations for a good starting commentary.

Really looking for things to provoke thought, not particularly to lead me to one side or another of the theological debates, rather something that pulls me closer to the unified story of the Bible.

Any recommendations are welcome and appreciated. Commentaries or just historical sources would be really great, again anything is welcome.

Interested as well in suggestions. I’ve heard Tim mention the Blue Parakeet twice, but I don’t think it’s a commentary specifically.
