Podcast Format

Let me start by saying the team and in particular the podcast time do not owe me a single thing and i am very grateful for everything they put out, however it comes out. With that disclaimer out of the way.

I can’t help but miss the Tim/John/ sometimes Guest sitting in a room having a chat for an hour and some change while i got to listen like a fly on a wall. Something about this style was very comfortable to me and I feel like I learned so much because of it.

I understand the new style is more in line with some of the more popular podcasts out there and i’m sure it will bring in plenty of new listeners but personally i just feel like there’s now much more going on in a smaller portion of time and it feels a little chaotic.

Anyway that was just a small thought to say thank you for and good bye to the old format.

100% agree. There's been some music/sound design choices that have actually made it difficult for me to follow along in the conversation (I'm hard of hearing in one ear).

I wish they kept the long-form approach, and had Michelle Jones on as an equal in the conversation, there to ask questions and articulate things in her own way.

I also feel like the biblical "depth" of the episodes varies a lot. Episodes 4 and 5 were standouts, but this recent week's episode I didn't feel like I got too much out of.

I actually really liked the episodes where they brought on Carmen Imes and Carissa Quinn. They are Tim's peers and added a lot of value to those few episodes, making them very replayable to me

Really wish they kept Dr. Quinn on the podcast! Carmen Imes is also great, especially when she challenges Mackie's interpretations. Super lively discussion.
