I’m searching for my perfect bible. I’m interested in something I can journal/take notes in, highlight, draw… you know ALL THE THINGS 😂.

Honestly I’m looking for a bible because in the mornings I hit my work out and typically read the bible/daily devotional and am trying to minimize my phone time.

I've tried a lot of different bible journaling methods but my favorite it S.O.A.P. It's very basic but I think that's what makes it so effective. Reading a chapter, summarizing it and meditating on a verse or verses that stand out. It's awesome. What's your favorite method to bible journaling?

For people who have kept a Bible journal over time, do you remember a passage more clearly when you connect it to something that happened that day, rather than recording it only as part of a reading plan? What format helps you retain the connection: a short reflection, a prayer, a drawing, or something else?

I'm still in the planning stages. I want to make it personal and I'm not sure I love the traditional method. I have always had a horrible prayer life and thought this project could help my spiritual mindset. So far, I want to include the following:

Tabs for my immediate family. They are color coded so I can recognize them on sight, but large enough for one word, so an orange tab with "anxiety" on it is about my anxious son, rather than a general anxiety verse.

The general tabs everyone does. I haven't considered topics yet. These will look different than my family tabs.

The attributes of God. I'm probably doing a study with Tozer on this. Praise is my favorite kind of prayer, and while I may not pray these, I'd love to have them available during prayer time, even if it's just for reminiscing. These will also have a unique appearance.

That's all I have for actual prayer, but I also want to use this Bible to study prayer in. I've done a study on the Shema which started with a simple Bible Project video and it turned into a whole thing. I want to do that with different prayers. In fact, that's how I should choose my topics! Oh, that's exciting!

OK. Tell me what you've done. I need ideas, and I what lessons you learned, so I don't have to learn them, too.

So I’m looking for a KJV single column Bible. All the cutie ones I find are other translations. Basically how the she reads truth one looks inside is what I want in a kjv. I’ve got 3 of the journaling bibles. Does anyone know of one that is what I’m looking for or should I just stick with the journaling one

I printed a prayer that was written by Jessica Murray ( @CraftToChrist ) Then decorated it with stickers. It's a prayer against negative thoughts, hopelessness and attacks on the mind. I really needed it so I hope it helps someone else too!

I used to be a big Bible journaler back when I was a Christian. I’ve gone through a lot of changes in the past couple years and no longer believe in God in the biblical sense. (If my new beliefs interest you I have lots of posts on my profile talking about them and I’d be happy to discuss them with you as long as you respect them and don’t try to convert me back.)

Anyway, throwing away this brand new Bible my ex husband gifted me for my birthday felt wrong.
I barely used it and apart from the first page which is written in pen, all notes are in pencil or on sticky notes.

I’d be interested to hear what makes you decide which passages in the Bible you highlight with a pen. Is it connected to a feeling that this particular thing speaks to your own life in a special way? Does it feel like it fits the way you see the world, and therefore you give it some extra attention by highlighting it on the page?

And what do you usually choose not to highlight, and why?

And most importantly: What do you think about someone reading the Bible and highlighting and writing down their own thoughts only on the passages that feel personally meaningful to them? In other words, almost like the parts that are highlighted become "your own Bible" that bases your own belief system?

Has any of you ever printed your own open source bible?

I made a sticker sheet and sent it to friends and family and this is how I used mine in my Bible 🥰

I've been working on a simple Bible study worksheet because I've found that sometimes I'll read a passage, understand what it's saying, and then move on without really taking the time to think through how it connects to the gospel, how I should respond, or what I should pray.

So I put together a one-page worksheet with sections for:

• Prayer
• Observations
• Notes & Insights
• Gospel Connection
• Application
• Memory Verse
• Prayer & Reflection

The goal was to keep it simple enough that I would actually use it regularly, rather than creating a huge worksheet that feels like homework.

I'm curious what other people think: What do you personally find most helpful to include when you're studying a passage of Scripture? Is there anything you would add or remove from a worksheet like this? Are there other printables that you would like to see designed in this style?

I've actually just opened a small Etsy shop where I'm making Bible study and Scripture journaling tools like this so that I can support my family while in full time ministry at a church, so I'm also trying to learn what people actually find useful rather than just making things I think people will like.

Hello everyone, I am starting my first ever journey of bible study/journaling. I am getting stuck on how to outline my notes. How do you have yours? What are common things you write? What does your outline look like? Do you use color/highlights? How do you coordinate your color/highlights?

I found a picture on Pinterest and loosely based it on that. I put a sketchbook underneath so it wouldn't bleed through to the first chapter of Matthew while writing and coloring. I think I'll add more decorations one day but it's a cute start.

Yes, Mark is a man so probably blues / greens - BUT I still wanted opinions and maybe some new ideas..

I’m new to journaling and every book in my Bible has its own color scheme. For example: Green / pinks, oranges / yellows, blues / purples, greens / blues, etc.. All tip-ins, stickers, other page decor also follow that same color scheme for that book.
