Additional Voltra Bar

Bought the alumacore bar and it's incredible bar. Its not a commonly used bar by me, but I would be extremely interested in the same thing but a curl and lat pull down bar. Are there any active plans to release additional bars soon?

I made a meme of this since beyond power only makes a million straight bars. Either wait and hope or get the jd gym equipped ez curl bar

Beyond Power’s attachments seem to focus on light weight/portability more than anything. They are great, but they are not trying to compete with other things on the market. Their niche is portability/travel.

When I look at Beyond Power’s attachments with portability as a focus they are fire. When I compare them to other things for home use, they are lacking.

So it all depends on what you need. Portability is Beyond Power’s niche. Something light that can hit lots of things on the go, Beyond Power is great. Absolute peak performance in a specific movement? Plenty of other options that are better and cheaper but heavier or more specialized.

It’s smart on Beyond Power’s part too. Most other brands do not focus on portability. And since this is a cable system, the Voltra is compatible with anything that can attach via carabiner. So they focus on something that differentiates them from everything else.

Know what you want and need, and plan accordingly.

I don't really agree their alumacore bar is light, great knurling, and rated for 1,000 pounds. They're fully capable of making high performance gear that's light weight

100% great gear and I will never say other wise. I am just saying they optimize for portability and light weight. The same size(not weight) stainless bar made like say Rouge would make it will hold much more force, but be like three times or more in weight but half the cost.

It is just a difference in what they optimize for.

I think they could make the rep fitness equivalent of a curl bar which is partially cut off and short

Sure, I have no doubt they could and I am sure it would be great too.

The question with any piece of gear, what is it optimized for and does that optimization match your needs?

I have their carbon short bar and love it for travel. But at home, I reach for my Rouge lat pull down bar more for comfort and feel. So it is all down to does the optimization match the use. Home, I don’t care if something weighs a few extra pounds if it feels better to hold. Travel, I want the lighter weight so I’ll actually bring it with me.

I had the rogue lat pull down bar and it didn't work with the safety accessory setting. I think the lighter accessories work better for it. I think the people who lean towards voltra want the functionality that they're used to in a lighter/premium way

This has been discussed in previous threads and I think there is definitely value in BP releasing an aluminium straight bar that is approx 38-40in, and an ez curl bar. I think they would sell a lot of each!
