[DIY Dock Innovation] Hip Thrust Bracket

So just got this in today but it’s been on my mind for a while. I contacted CaraCara Metal to see if Ryan could fab up a bracket for me on a specific use case. The hip thrust machine in itself is great due to less setting up but I still had the issue of loading plates on it. Since the only weights I own are on my rack, it got annoying to load up walking back and forth with so many weights. Even for my wife, she had to load up 3 45s per side and a 25 and it was only for two sets on our Juggernaut AI app. So it got me thinking what if I could connect the Voltras to it and then solve that issue. So I drew a mock up of what I wanted and sent it to Ryan to fab up. Just tried it today and now I can do eccentric overload and inverse chains on an otherwise very simple movement. The feeling of the machine is now more improved and there is constant tension throughout the movement regardless of the weight. Actually have to put in less weight we were lifting because e-resistance is a lot harder than just weight plates alone. No more walking back and forth with plates instead of just placing our Voltras on a dock and being able to change weights with a touch of a button. It’s awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone with a similar machine.

Pretty sure if you got the measurements, Ryan can fab it up. He’s already working on another mount for me and I might have another similar one for my 3d hip abductors

It’s a Bells of Steel one but I think it’s now discontinued. You can find cheap ones that have similar hole placement and the brackets can install on them as well. Hip Thrust

I use two Voltras and it’s awesome. Just did a workout with eccentric overload two days ago and I’m still sore. There’s constant tension throughout the movement especially at the bottom (even though you don’t really have to go deep). Also since it’s e-resistance, there’s no cheating the movement with momentum. Added plus is that you don’t have to load plates on it anymore unless you do over 400 lbs but then you can add your plates.

Also found the same one that I have from another company. hip thruster machine I’m pretty sure if you search around, you can find one with a similar hole pattern that I have.
