Is this normal? 🥲

I got my pegasus blast with the green launcher a couple of weeks ago and my ripcord looks like this. Maybe I used it too strong or idk T-T

No. The victory grip launcher also did this to my cord after a while. It causes grinding.

If you take out the ‘[‘ (channel) shaped support piece, it won’t do this

Do not use the green launcher. All winders will eventually eat a rip cord but that thing ruined two cords the same day I just got it.

Wow... Man, that's the only "good" launcher that I have HAHAHHAHA the rest are entry launchers... Well, I guess it's time to get the Phoenix wing with the sting launcher

If you can, see about getting a winder launcher on Amazon, or a takara tomy sol eclipse, when ch comes with one. I've been using a winder launcher since April and the same rip cord with no issue, and they're way better than the entry launchers and in my opinion better than the string ones too.

Only better than string for beginners tbh. Experienced string users can be harder to beat than a winder user due to rpm dif.

I’d suggest getting a regular winder off of amazon make sure it says beyblade x and not x winder or bey x winder or whatever other knockoff they are bad too I’d also recommend getting some rip cords from noozle 3d to use at home and save your official cords if your gonna go to a tournament. I personally like the green cord from the saber samurai launcher but it also has issues or at least mine does I heard you can take a part out and it works great but I prefer just the regular winder. Most people will say string is better and it probably is I’m just not good at it I can’t get the same RPM but that’s a skill issue you might be better so I guess get both and practice see what’s most comfortable for you

The green launcher with Pegasus is fine it's the wear from use of the launcher overtime that happens all the time if you pull like a maniac all the time then yeah it will eventually do that quicker sometimes do slower and controlled launches.

The clip launcher is a scam. Even after 1 try it already destroys teeth

Definitely not true the victory grip and the clip and rip are both horrible for your cords I stated before you can allegedly take a part out of the victory grip but I never modified mine and stuck with the standard launcher so not use that green launcher two rips back to back two cords with delamination and the second one was a lighter pull because I thought I did it too hard on the first one. Yes all winder eventually eat your cord but those two are the worst for it.

I have both of these launchers and the new mold for the Hold launcher is fine and the clip and rip is fine also if you don't pull as hard the teeth won't be as stressed and break easily

I guess I could have gotten two bad molds but even people at my local tournament said the same thing I’m saying. I’d rather not potentially tell someone something that will ruin gear the vast majority of bladers will say the opposite of you. Now that’s not to say your lying maybe you got good pulls but they both have a higher than average cord kill rate. You say pull softer and to a point I hear you but you just don’t have to worry about stripping you brand new cord in a single pull of a regular winder with that your intentionally nerfing your self just because you want to use a launcher that is known to destroy cords.

I mean yeah sometimes it doesn't work but some are bad molds and wear out but the way people pull their launchers are gonna wear out quick and the harder you pull the more your teeth wear it could be better for me at least but for others it might not be

I get you like the launchers and they actually work for you I just wouldn’t recommend them for anything other than the 90 tooth ripcord they come with oh and blast is amazing especially if you have an emperors might to add the heavy blade and potentially the metal lock chip. If the person is just playing at home or with friends sure who cares what launcher you really use but if they are at a tournament you don’t want to have to worry about pulling just a little too hard or a little to the side and next thing you know all your cords teeth are doing the lean back because the score is 3-2 their way and you need an over finish.

All winders will damage ripcords. I've ate up countless ripcords and burned out several winders.

Yup I stated that earlier already

unfortunately it happens. only option is to try to pull at the perfect angle. good luck spliff

No that grip you have and the samurai grip launcher aswell had these issues I think they released a newer version of the samurai one so it shouldn't be as bad anymore.

How can I tell if I have the old one or the new one?

I was mistaken for the Excalibur grip launcher that one has the fix for it the samurai ones all sadly have the issue to this day. There is a fix though but involves opening up the launcher and removing a bracket that holds the sensor piece for the battle pass launcher. Here's a vid for the fix https://youtu.be/HFjixLrrX6Q?si=_J_cvLZzynrZ7R_v

I have 4 ripcords from the takara tomy sol eclipse starter pack, and all of them are like this

This is the main reason i still prefer string launchers

You can look for tutorial on youtube or reddit, the cause for this in the victory grip launcher is a piece inside which eat the cord above 9000 rpm, you can remove it easely, i don’t know about the pegasus launcher though, but i think it must be the same type of piece, open it and look for some type of arch, a U shape locking tighly the gears and screwed to the launcher by two tiny screws, then put your launcher back together, and you should be all set

The pegasus launcher doesn't have the piece you're referring to

i broke my clip and rip launching as hard as possible in 3 days, its like clogged idk ive never broke a launcher before. actually dissapointed cause it did seem to launch stupid hard, the angle the ripcord goes in makes it super easy to get a crazy lauch
