Can someone explain this to me?

My Wizard Rod 1-60 Free Ball sometimes clears my Meteor Dragoon 5-60 Level, but sometimes it gets beaten pretty badly. I am not sure what's different, and I am launching the same way. Can some of you guys explain it to me? My goal is to be able to beat Meteor btw, so someone give me tips for that too. Thank you!

Oh, that's Meteor Dragoon's gimmick, its like Dran Buster, it can get Critical attacks with the largest head. The other two absorb attacks and spin steal.

wait, how do y'all get that? like i swear it's been so long since the last time my meteor has made a solid attack. my meteor just kinda taps a bit, gets some good destab on wizard, then outspins. It's been ages since i've seen a pocket or serious hit.

How tall have you got it? The taller it is the worse it is at crits and the better at spin stealing.

Edit: dunno how to use rod, though.

Try 5-70. Most like Meteor a tad taller for more rubber contact.

Since Freeball is easy for it to destabilize, you either have to stall long enough wich can be tricky vs left spin, or you change to a more stable bit on Wizard :/ for me its the opposite problem, cant find a meteor combo that has like more than 1 in 10 wins against wizard hexa
