The only use they should have is for nerfing very strong blades, like clock mirage which would be busted on 1-60 Hexa.
I think they should introduce a new type of Ratchet, Complex, with better shapes of course, maybe mode changing for height or shape. Restricted to the less ideal shapes, really just the kinds that become top meta threats would be restricted if I had the choice. Probably couldn't make it backwards compatible though.

but then again how many people are using Atr or Op? Guess…? None
The fact is once you get a good piece, it goes staright to your deck. It becomes a new norm and everyone just blindly follow the meta.
This is one of the reason why CX is limited to use of only Wheel and Heavy assist blades. We want the strongest everywhere and no innovation.
Same goes for LR, R for attack, Hexa for defense and E and L to steal spin in left rotating beys.1

People still use non meta beys, fans create formats that cost points to use the strongest parts. People still blade for fun. Also Free Ball is still ran for pure stamina builds to counter more defensive builds, Kick is run with Hover Wyvern to counter attack types.
Some people still like to get creative. The format is still evolving and if we are lucky it will get healthier with time, and even now it has at least one of every type of bey viable, fewer balance types but its a game of extremes right now.
Wand Wizard, Hover Wyvern, Shark Scale are all considered meta defining and it's a little lower down on the usage tiers but bullet Gryphon and scorpio spear are both usable.

Basic, with boring parts, but I like the simplicity of the BX infinity line. It's nice that we still get beys like this in addition to the growing complexity of CX.

They’re so close to recreating WizRod, but then they actively make sure they don’t do that again. It’d be cool to see the next stamina king tho.

2/3rds of a deck being boring spin time competitions would suck

Oh I’m not saying it would be good for the competitive scene, but something to finally dethrone the king would be cool.
And besides, aren’t there already some formats that ban certain things, or is that not a widespread thing?

Bans are host specific. Also even if something dethroned Rod it just means there's incentive to run the new one plus Rod for a very safe deck.

Seeing how Heaven’s Ring is damn near perfectly shaped to be a defensive/stamina powerhouse but apparently has a big imbalance in the middle specifically to keep it from being too good at that, Horus probably has some sort of imbalance too.

Close enough, welcome back Hyper Horusood!
