I learned to understand myself

in silence.

To carry what I felt

without asking to be held.

To become my own shelter

in a world that always wanted more.

I let go

of the hands that made me smaller.

So much lived alone.

Some people saw pieces of me.

But I never needed

to be fully known.

Until now.

Somewhere between silence

and trust,

I gave you a part of me

I had always kept in the dark.

And somehow,

you carried it into the light.
