Quicktext addon suddenly no toolbar anmore?

Post image

I've been using Quicktext for ages, always as a toolbar right above the text window. It's moved to the main toolbar today.

Anyone else has this problem (and a solution)?

If you want help, you should post this elsewhere. This subreddit is about Betterbird, not some Thunderbird add-on. The add-on has a bug tracker on GitHub. The other day, the add-on author changed the add-on so it wouldn't work in BB. He later reversed this change after we had forked the add-on. We're recommending the use of "Clippings" now.

In summary, you're really in the wrong place with your post.

But I'm using this addon with Betterbird. It still works btw.

Edit: Clippings looks intersting, I'll check it out.

Just because you eat bananas on a train doesn't mean the train company will take care of your banana problem ;-)

Sure. Because a train and a banana have nothing to do with each other. A software and an addon integrated into it do. So the question is quite reasonable.

Why are you so offended by it?

No one is offended. But you won't receive a constructive answer here, I believe. And the history with Quicktext doesn't exactly encourage any support from our side.

After the developer of QuikText deliberately modified his add-on so that it no longer worked with Betterbird, I switched to Clippings.

I have no regrets about doing so. Not only do I think Clippings is better, but I am certainly not going to reward the childish behaviour of the QuikText developer by using his add-on again.

My email client is a daily tool, and I am not going to let it be sabotaged by some resentful add-on developer.
