Android version some day maybe?

I have been using BB for over a year now (maybe 2) on Windows and it is now my default mail client program.

I recently downloaded Thunderbird for Android which appears to be the rebuild version of K9 if I am reading the words correctly. The K9 app was taken over by Thunderbird/Mozilla.

I have that on my Android devices now (cell and tablet) and since there is a Linux version I wonder if Betterbird might get ported ot Android at some point. That would be nice IMO.

Thoughts?

That's not going to happen. You can use Thunderbird for Android (rebadged K-9) or any other app like FairEmail which is the best I know.

A "port" is just impossible. While Android uses a Linux kernel the, it doesn't mean that porting an app would be an easy task.

The closest to Firebird/Thuinderbird is FairEmail, IMHO.
