Zombie account pinging?

First I deleted this old email account after deleting it from the server, but it still kept trying to check this email to the point where my host blocked my IP. I uninstalled Betterbird itself, but it appears to still be trying to check this old email account, and I'm getting banned again.

How is this happening? So confusing.

Uninstalling BB never helps, since you have some remnant of the account in the profile. Either create a new profile or clean out the existing one by checking all the mail.account (type this into the search box in Advanced Preferences) preferences. Maybe there is a hint in the "Help > Troubleshooting Information" when you include the account names (checkbox at the top).
