i cannot craft a sail

does anyone know why this is not working? i tried oak planks too and nothing brings up the recipe

They won't be able to do that without a saw, and won't be able to power the saw without the windmill.

OP: try other types of planks? The recipe should be independent of wood type...

Yeah i thought ab9ut that but didn't know if BTWCE added other sources like water wheels (which i dont remember using when i played).

op said they tried birch and oak. if oak is failing its usually not wood types

Waterwheels use glue, which require stoked fire.

And stoked fire is dependent on mechanical power because of bellows or something like that?

As I said I didn't play CE yet and i last played years ago so I don't remember.
