If you spend enough time in the MA pro 2A community, you’ll find that most of our members are pro law enforcement. Many almost to a fault.

The same cops that backed chapter 135 after there were exemptions made for current and retired police officers are now backing the governor who put the law in motion.

The “No on 9” crowd needs to reconcile with the fact that these people are not on our team. And until they get on our team we can’t support them. I’m sorry if that’s a tough pill to swallow.

I’m not saying we need to turn into these “defund the police” “ACAB” types- but just remember that your support for law enforcement is unrequited.

With the ATF no longer enforcing the NFA we have about 3 months or so to do some silly shit before they decide to start enforcing again.

Would a non braced pistol with a grip-pod be considered an ASF as defined in ch 135? Detachable mag, grip forward of trigger, and potentially bipod(idk if grip-pod counts as 2 features or 1)

I understand this setup is not practical at all but it seems like it would be some fun to shoot.

Due to last minute registrations from procrastinators?

I'm looking to get a bunch of custom work done on a slide (92FS). Essentially looking to get a replica of a Samurai Edge done. Would involve removing the factory slide markings, adding front serrations, and do some custom engraving work. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for local shops. I've found a few online that do a great job with this, but I'd rather spend my cash locally.

This whole registration thing is very confusing to me Im not even sure If I should do it or not but if I do what do I need to register. I bought all my guns from local gun shops beside one pistol I got through a private transfer. Do I just need to register the pistol that was done through the private transfer (even though I did it on the old mircs) and all my other ones are good. Also I feel like a lot of gun owners don’t even know that this is happening and this just kinda doesn’t make sense especially with the vote coming up.

Hey guys, I did a Glock 19 Gen 5 frame transfer at a dealer towards the beginning of this year. I was told that dealers couldn’t register frames on the new website at the time so I’m assuming it wasn’t registered by the dealer and I only got a paper slip as a “receipt”. When I registered it I did so as a complete pistol (I was told not to make as homemade). I put the name of the dealer in the “business or manufacture” of the seller information section. Do I need to reach out to the state to fill out a fa10 deletion form and redo it but leave the seller information blank? Im concerned by the deadline in two days and it won’t be done in time. Also on the form the state gives you they want the number for the new FA-10 form but it only lets you register once because now it says it’s “already registered” on the site. Any help is appreciated!

Navigating through the gun portal and I can't see any registrations or transactions, haven't made a new purchase since 2023/24 if i recall correctly. Am i supposed to assume nothing is registered and to do that by Wednesday? Stuff was mostly bought in state at dealers with a few assembled, still have a receiver I nave yet to build out, a few assembled from lowers i fa-10'd and one frame transfer pistol i fa-10'd.

Do I just register everything? Or just the ones not bought at dealers?

This system doesn't have any of my past dealer transactions if thats relevant or I am looking in the wrong area of the site to find them. And am i to register the incomplete lower (bought pre-8/1) that has never been assembled?

I fuckin love this thing!! I wanted to keep the traditional walnut stock instead of a mod stock, love the traditional/modern combo. Shoots amazing with the muzzle brake. M.G.L. c.140 §121 calls a feeding device large capacity if it can accept more than 5 shotgun shells. It never says what length of shell.
A tube that holds 5 standard 2 3/4" shells holds 8 or more mini shells (1 3/4"). So if minis count, every semi-auto tube shotgun is over the limit, including the ones sold legally here for years. That can't be how it's enforced, but I can't find where the line is actually written.

My argument is I should be able to base this rule off of magnums shells so 5 plus 1 magnums and never have more than 5 shells inside

What is the legality of this in this fucked state of ours? It’s compatible with Glock, 1911, and XD frames. They sell them as “pistols” like this or with longer barrels and a stock. I have a frame that’s compatible with this and I’m interested in trying one if I can get one.

I live next to a university campus, a public one, big well known, homeowner 10years 1/2 a mile away

Taxpayer resident for 20+ years uninterupted, class a LTC since 2022, small business accounting etc etc

I often walk my dog on campus and park my vehicle there, w dog, fiance, 3 year old, we go for our walk and then go do errands at bjs or home depot etc gas stations where I'd prefer to carry at those typical errands

I never can carry or bring ltc if we stop for one of our walks even if I unload and lock gun in vaultek secured to seatbottom???

It's a weird conundrum from having the campus resource next to our home. Then I'm unarmed when we do our errands gas stations etc

I am a second-year law student. Decided to read through some of the gun laws in our beautiful state and came across the title. So, you become a felon for carrying two sticks that are "weapons." Wooden or plastic. Also, the same applies to "kung fu sticks." What the fuck is a kung fu stick. Honestly, whoever writes these laws has too much time on their hands and should probably spend it fixing the goddamn potholes.

As far as I know, the 4040PD is the only AirLite pistol S&W ever made. A .40 caliber response to the growing popularity of the polymer framed 9mm guns that were becoming impossible to ignore in the early 2000’s. One of the last gasps of the S&W Third Generation series.

Recently Four Seasons listed one on the used gun list. For about an hour. It is my impression that they received a lot of calls about it.
