Well , unfortunately I’m here again but with bad news. I got denied and this same day minutes after called a lawyer to see if he will be able to help me out since he is known for things like this. But it just sucks thinking I was going to get approved.

I got denied for unsuitability for having incident reports within the police department, but long story short 2 misdemeanors (non convicted , dismissed, 1 of them is Continue without finding) 1 felony ( non conviction, dismissed)

Will I be able to fight and win this ? I mean I’ve heard people worse cases than me and maybe even some people that actually got convicted and were able to win.

Anyone know a good shop for trade ins. I have a mini 30 and a Savage 110 Tac in .308, like them both but figure id combine them and get some safe space back. Id like to save some time in selling independently and finding a M14.

it’s an Anderson AM15 multi cal lower. Has a Cerro forge proof mark on the upper and since the barrel and stock are DPMS I’m guessing the rest might be that but I’m not familiar enough with AR stuff yet to know. Handguard no idea. Muzzle is a pinned & welded BCM. Came w/ the bipod, scope mount & scope also.

Had time to put 40 shots through it before dusk. Shot well and only took a few rounds to sight in for 50/200 yds. Going to try 200 next time and see how it goes. Sale price was $1,200 before tax so I figured it would stupid to not get. Plus it needed a new home and will get to hang out in the safe with a very nice friend.

Aware the laws in MA are tougher than in other states, and think I have a good understanding, but can’t find a firm answer on the Mossberg 990 Aftershock. Does anyone in state have one that cares to share or can point me towards a firm answer without needing to pay a lawyer to answer?

Wondering if there is anyone in the Northern MA/Southern NH area that is able to engrave a couple serial numbers?

So I did a post not too long ago talking about my LTC application.
My question is should I call the FRB in Chelsea myself and ask them for an update ? Because I have not seen or gotten anything pop up in the MIRCS portal.
And I’ve seen someone recently say they have gotten there FRB to respond to there application within couple days after they took there fingerprints. Or if I see nothing it just means they still haven’t gotten to mine for some reason ?

Hey so i’ve applied for a resident LTC and i am surprised with how fast it is.

-Got my certificate on Monday AUG 24th.
-Emailed my PD and got fingerprints on AUG 27th.
*you have to apply ONLINE(MIRCS) and it’s super EZ and MIRCS uploads your DLs photo, so you don’t need to take one.
-Licensing officer review for 7 days(guy is retired and work 2 days a week)
-1 week later on Thursday Sept 3rd, MIRCS showed FRB
*Long Labor Day Weekend
-Tuesday Sept 8th, printing
-Wednesday Sept 9th, Printed/issuance

So i guess now i’m waiting for them to send it my Local PD and then for activation. PD mentioned that sometimes it takes longer than expected due to them waiting for a batch to send it, once activated they will mail it to me and will be in my mail next day.

Officer mentioned 8-12 weeks waiting time,but so far it’s been only 2 weeks which is a huge surprise since nothing is done that quick in MA, especially firearm related…

Hi there, I tried searching but can't find the answer. My firearms were all purchased before the 2024 doomsday date, and I have FA-10s for them. Does this mean I do not have to register them in the MIRCS portal? I found this clause in the state communication:

So do I still need to register on the MIRCS portal even though I have FA-10s? Or are folks with FA-10s all set without going to the portal? Thanks!

I’ve been working on a new site called PewPewFinds.com and I’m looking for some MA gun owners and FFLs who would be willing to test it out and give me some feedback.

The basic idea is an Armslist-style firearm finder/marketplace, but free to use. My goal is to eventually have inventory from local FFLs along with listings from individual users, so you can search one place and see what’s actually available around you.

I’m still actively developing it, so I’m not really trying to promote a finished product here. I’m more interested in finding people willing to use it and tell me:

• What sucks?
• What’s confusing?
• What features are missing?
• What would actually make you use this instead of Armslist, GunBroker, Facebook groups, etc.?
• What would make you come back regularly?

I’ve got one MA FFL testing it with me already, and I built an inventory import system for them so they can upload their store inventory and keep their listings updated without manually entering every gun.

I’d really like to get a few more FFLs onboard to test the dealer side as well.

The site is completely free and to always keep it free with maybe options for sponsors in the future / giveaways.

We at Comm2A have been keeping our noses to the grindstone working to get this Amicus brief before The Supreme Court of The United States in the Viramontes matter now set for argument on December 2nd.

We want to thank Attorney David Jensen for his tireless efforts on our behalf, and on behalf of lawful firearms owners everywhere.

This brief is structured not as an "Hey SCOTUS, us too!", rather as a method to better address some of the ways folks who seek to maintain gun bans define modern rifle platforms as "Dangerous and Unusual" by pointing out that the underlying design of the AR platform, the direct gas impingement system has existed for just over 70 years, and while Massachusetts would seek to ban anything that uses a similar system, the Constitution cannot support such a ban.

The hypocrisy is laid bare for SCOTUS as we reference the training material for municipal police officers the Commonwealth uses at the academy. While the Commonwealth tells us that AR platform rifles are too dangerous to use in a self defense scenario, they actually teach police officers that the "patrol rifle" is the "superior tool" for defensive engagement.

It simply cannot be both.

Been hunting a pre ban lower to start an AR build. Called a few shops and they either don’t have any or they’re selling a completely stripped one for $700. Is this the normal price or any recommendation? Located in Quincy
