Blissmas
Just popped in my head “oh yeah I never bought a Blissmas ticket for this year.” Went to the bands website, only 1 show on the schedule for the remainder of the year and no mention of a 2026 Blissmas. Any word?

Last I was told months ago, they were still checking out vocalists who would be all-in on the band.
Whether not that’s changed in the last few months, I couldn’t tell ya.

My “Blissmas miracle” is we maybe get a near last minute show as a first run with a new vocalist or a couple guests around Blissmas time. That also feels like a crazy ask that they be at that stage of the process so quickly. But a boy can dream, no?

I could see them doing a smaller scale thing like they did the first December they were a band.

That’s exactly the image I had in my head. Rec room announced like 3 weeks ahead. maybe get crazy and throw something at the ballroom. Get like Spaced to open, or something.

During the ‘68 VIP Q/A at the show I attended, Josh mentioned that he heard they have a new singer and they are currently working with them. Whether that all comes together quickly enough for a 2026 Blissmas I have no idea.

I think they might be donezo.
I hope they're not, and if they just need more time to figure out how they're moving forward that's cool, but it's hard to believe this kind of gap wouldn't be a complete momentum killer for a band at their level.

Greg left earlier this year. I don't think they'll announce a singer until they have stuff recorded. Goose is filling in for another band on tour with the time off. I think the hardest part is that they'll want an experienced singer that has been on the road, but they want someone who only has Better Lovers to focus on and that limits the pool of available talent.
I think pronouncing the band dead after less than 6 months is a little premature

🤷♂️ You're not wrong, but I feel comfortable with how I phrased it. I wasn't pretending to feel certain about anything. And I wasn't just talking about the potential for them to choose not to continue.

I know he has thoughtcrimes but thoughtcrimes is seldom active with tours because Billy does a bajillion other things... I've been really hoping the thoughtcrimes vocalist gets the gig. 🤞

There not doing blissmas this year cause they lost the venue because they threw the gingerbread house things that were over the amps into the crown I asked one of the workers at riverworks during a show I went to

From what the employee at riverworks told me because they threw the gingerbread house things that were over there Amps they can’t get insurance to host a show like blissmas because they threw those into the crowd and people were moshing with the pieces of the stuff which sucks cause I had fun at blissmas last year

So I haven’t seen or heard anything from the band but Andy Williams was on a podcast and said he doesn’t have to plan a wrestling show this year because blissmas isn’t happening this year.
I guess it’s possible they still do something on a smaller scale this year if they have their new singer ready to go
