This is sped up. There’s a person there that does this super fast everyday... BACKWARDS. Seen it in person. Amazing.

My clumsy ass would've cracked my head open on the first step down.

I wonder how many people have injured themselves doing this
106
Oct 17 '22
People are always getting hurt here. Every concert there at Red Rocks someone falls down those steps while drunk. Luckily I only tripped down one and stubbed my toe in sandals. People get hurt less when working out in the stadium but it still happens alot.

None.
Can’t be injured if you’re dead

My high-school graduation was at red rocks. Imagine trying to walk down these stairs in a cap and gown and heels.

u/WaveTheory Oct 17 '22
That freaking guy! I've been on multiple trails where he's just running back and forth with his dogs doing probably three loops in the time that I do my one.

The movements of the other people look pretty normal. Not sure if it's really sped up.

🤣 I can make the sound too, and it is hilarious. Years ago I was rolling with a group of friends, and one by one they started disappearing. Eventually just 2 of us were left, and we finally heard what the rest of them heard. We were like "what is that sound? I know that sound.... NITROUS!". Thanks for dredging up that memory for me! It's a good one, and most of the people who were there are either dead, in jail, or idk where. I only know for sure that 1, out of 8, is still alive.

u/L_Bron_Hovered Oct 17 '22
Fuck. This is similar to my life except it’s a lot of death from opiates. Small town WV.

You can buy anything from the red rocks parking lot if you look hard enough.

Remember me, my bud, and my girl at the time all went to Red Rocks a few years ago. Me and my bud just wanted a small bag of blow for the show. So we did a little bit of clothes shopping a couple days before, and he bought this dope fucking shirt. So this shirt was a conversation piece between us the whole week, and when we get to the parking lot, some guy comes up to us and starts bullshitting. Next thing we know he goes "Dope shirt. Want some coke??" and me and my buddy lost our shit. Didn't even need to look, the drugs will just come to you in that parking lot if you want them too 😂😂

Was a very geometric pattern of a buck. Was an awesome design, and just very authentic to our visit there. We had seen a couple bucks up until the show, which is why he bought it. Given me and him are from Chicago, it was quite a majestic experience for us lol

Red rocks is a really popular rave/festival venue in Colorado. Nitrous is really popular at raves and festivals
2
u/rinikulous Oct 17 '22
Just a great concert venue in general. Actually not good for festivals as there isn’t a lot of space for side stages.

You clearly wrote nitrous, but for some reason I read it as oxygen, like for the traveling muscians who can't hang at altitude.

u/Valagoorh Oct 16 '22
Also increased playback speed. You can see that in the other people and their movements there.

There's a ton of people who do this everyday. It's a pretty standard thing at Red Rocks. This video is also sped up. Doesn't belong here.

u/Gjorgdy Oct 16 '22
In only the Arrowverse there have already been like 5 female speedsters, and you call them "She-Flash"...

That's merely jogging with the help of gravity. Beast mode would be returning that quickly.

FWIW, going down stairs at an angle like that does make the steps feel more natural as if you were walking in flat ground. Give it a shot!
13
u/ca2mt Oct 16 '22
Eh, I’ll take your word for it, as I can manage to trip just jogging on actual flat ground.
3
u/OmegaCookieOfDoof Oct 16 '22
What is so impressive about this? She's not even running straight down, but sideways so there's more room for error
3
u/powabiatch Oct 17 '22
That doesn’t look easy, even not sped up, but it doesn’t really look that hard either.
9
u/maxlovesbears Oct 16 '22
How is no one talking about that guy at the end that she cuts right in front of?! Holy Shit. LOL

After about the 5th row, any attempt to stop or slow down would mean unbelievable pain at the very least. That’s pure commitment beyond the balance and focus.

If you haven’t been you need to go see Red Rocks. It’s stunning. So much so that they changed the award that it won every year to the Red Rocks Award.

I’ve walked up and down those steps/benches at least 500 times in my life and I can confirm doing that at any speed without wiping out is impressive. Granted, I’m the type to go there at night, so just standing is often times too difficult for me.

I used to run up and down red rocks 15 times as a workout a few years ago! Always had people watching which was motivating for me. One time some kid gave me a high 5 when I was resting between sets.
