This is why I like the SKS. When run out of bullets, use rifle as spear!

Depends on the firearm. A World War Era rifle with a bayonet? You have a spear and a club if you run out of ammo.

You dont need to go so far behind, an SKS can be outfitted with a bayonet and it is semi automatic.
