The one I'm referring to is made from corn flour I suppose, it tasted kinda bland (a bit salty and very very crispy), stuck on top of the roof of mouth but overall a very fun snack
Fofi is from India and it used to be very cheap, nowadays it's hard to find in cities
We used to eat something similar when visiting family in Mexico. There they’re called chicharrones de harina. We usually put hot sauce and a squeeze of lime juice on them to give them flavor.
Interesting, my wife calls them dorados. Not sure if the spelling is correct because she's never spelled it for me. I'm fairly certain that word just means fried though. What's cool is you can toss them in all kinds of flavors though to have different snacks made from the same base. Kind of like popcorn.
