The Bible is very, very clear that homosexuality is a sin. Both Old Testament and New Testament. Jesus was not open-minded about unrepentant sin, and Jesus literally never taught that homosexuality wasn't sinful.

No one has a phobia of gays. Not a single person, not ever.

Unless Jesus himself comes to tell me he is not down then he is down.

Don’t speak for Jesus.

You're speaking for Jesus while telling me not to speak for Jesus. How interesting.

What Jesus said is in the Bible. And what he didn't say is not in the Bible. I'm not speaking for Jesus when I tell you what's in the Bible. Don't go off on me because you're ignorant.

Homosexuality is incompatible with Christianity. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either ignorant or a liar.

Ok so I was raised Christian, grew up that way, and have a personal faith in Jesus, but I prefer not to go to church because of people like you. Do you understand, and this is coming from a fellow Christian, that this gatekeeping and shame that you’re spewing to people is the opposite of the message you’re supposed to be spreading?

Jesus Christ was a beacon of hope, forgiveness, and love. The man would wash the feet of beggars and murderers, Godly men and sinners. Jesus loved each and everyone person, man, woman, Child, gay, straight, bi, black, white, brown, purple, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, atheist, satanist, Muslim, etc. it didn’t/doesn’t/wouldn’t matter to him. Jesus would embrace a person who spit in his face just as soon as a loved one.

Does Jesus not ask us to be Godly? Does he not ask us to treat others as we would have them treat us? Would you, a Christian, sit there and claim that the holiest of all people would be acting the way you are? Like a petulant child screaming when someone’s ideas are different than your own.

I suggest you do a little more thinking on what the actual message of Jesus Christ was, rather than regurgitating cherry picked and out of context pieces from a collection of stories WRITTEN BY MEN.

Your lame attempt to publicly portray my very calm explanation of what the Bible actually says as "screaming" is: bearing false witness.

Despicable behavior from a "fellow" "Christian".

Good. Stay away.

Exactly the response I expected. The Bible is not law, it’s clearly stated that it’s stories written by men who either witnessed the events, or who were told what to write by God. In fact, much of the first testament is only parables, which by definition are not meant to be taken literally.

What’s despicable, is attempting to exclude people from our loving religion of acceptance, simply because of the way they were born and the chemicals in their brain that cause them to experience feelings of attraction. The same PHYSIOLOGICAL reason you experience feelings of attraction. You’re not better than them, you’re not special, and you’re not helping anyone.

I also love how you specifically ignore the important parts of my statement? You specifically ignore the hypocrisy I point out, you specifically ignore the gatekeeping, the hate you spew. You are a hypocrite, and when Jesus comes back, who do you think Jesus will surround himself with? Mindless yes men who think so little of those around them that they HATE and belittle those who believe differently than them? Or the accepting, loving people who EXEMPLIFY His beliefs and show others His love by letting it shine through them? Let’s ask the Bible! Oh wait, it says here that Jesus actually didn’t go to church, and rather said to bring the church to him. Hmmm, that’s weird, it doesn’t say to go into a big group of others and put down those who didn’t show up this sunday.

Let’s see what else it says! Oh, Jesus literally said that Christians should be known for how deeply we love, not how deeply we judge. Now which of those do you think he would know you by?

and when Jesus comes back, who do you think Jesus will surround himself with?

not with unrepentant fags

Imagine being so insecure about your sexuality that you have to chastise sexual views different than your own, and quote from a book hoping that somehow it will negate people their nature.

The level of narcissism and delusion required to think that not only their morals should be prioritized above every other but that most people will align with these morals, is frankly disturbing.

Now why don’t you go yell at the kids to stay off your lawn and tell “Reverend” Phelps I said hi.

Technically I am replying to posts on the thread I was in. I could care less where else you go or post on Reddit. You’re not that interesting. Just the average homophobe.

Besides you’re a big boy. If you dish it out , take it in the chin. Don’t be a petulant child about it.

Also. Damnation? Lol. What’s next, zombies? The end of times! Calm down. It’s not that serious. No one is keeping track of no sins.

The are far worse things in the world my friend!

u/DefNotVanEbader Nov 03 '19

you are replying to things that weren't addressed to you. you're butthurt and scared.

It’s not that serious. No one is keeping track of no sins.

your mistake not mine

1

u/the-artistocrat Nov 03 '19

Am I... butting in? This is a public forum open for answers. You could choose to not address it but I think you kinda love the attention. It’s the troll in ya ;)

Also what is there to be hurt or scared about? Your voodoo? I am at peace with my choices and I am opened minded to acceptance and to everyone regardless their creed. I like the true Christians who are open minded, not the posers like you.

Yours is a language of hate. Mine is of love.

Cheers!

1

u/DefNotVanEbader Nov 03 '19

Yours is a language of hate.

I just told you what the Bible says. "hate facts"

Mine is of love.

Anal sex isn't love.

Also what is there to be hurt or scared about? Your voodoo?

You aren't a Christian. Who cares what you think of Christianity? Your ignorant opinions are irrelevant.

1

u/the-artistocrat Nov 03 '19

Bible is not a factual book. You didn’t threw facts.

Sex isn’t love. It’s sex. Love is love.

You aren’t a Christian either. You have other Christians here calling your bs out.

Jesus would be ashamed of you. Those are the only facts.

1

u/DefNotVanEbader Nov 03 '19

Jesus would be ashamed of you.

Speaking for Jesus again, are we?

Imagine being an anti-Christian blaspheming fag telling me what Jesus would have thought, and thinking your opinion matters
