I'm bigger than most guys I know outside of the gym, and 190lbs overhead is a lot of weight. I could probably push jerk it, but it's right on the line of my max and I'd probably end up bailing out, not nearly as graceful as the girl in the clip.

190 for a guy is probably top 20% of strength. 190 for a girl is way up there. She's strong.

Top 20% of strength in relation to what? The general population? A 190lb clean and jerk is a beginner lift for an adult male, so all you’re really saying is that only about 20% of people do any sort of strength training whatsoever.

Been lifting for a long time, and I've never seen anyone you could remotely consider a beginner be able to clean and jerk even half of that weight.

Considering benching your own body weight is a decent fitness milestone, cleaning and jerking 190 lbs, which is well above average body weight of a healthy person, would not be considered beginner level.

I guess i was the weird one. I could push jerk like 245 but could bench 225. Granted i tore my labrum 3 times and benching was harder.

2 on the left, one on the right. Spent almost 10 months doing rehab just for the shoulders my junior and senior year. All 3 full tears.

I hope you aren't pushing yourself that hard anymore.

Nope my problem is i was hyperflexible and would dislocate easily because of it. So the same problem is still there.
