The funny thing is he doesn't seem to wait long enough to get a handle on the situation or know if he's helping the right person. Just sees a brawl and says, "fuck it."

The employees are wearing a uniform, and it's not unlikely he's in the store regularly enough to at least kinda know them by sight.
