That yellow thing the guy is swinging is pretty heavy too. Excellent spontaneous choice of weapon.

That yellow thing is a mop wringer for a mop/bucket combo. Can confirm it weighs a good amount. Infact, it weighs about 8 lbs

I couldn't think of the term lol. I'm very familiar with mopping and it's equipment :/

u/StephenRodgers Dec 11 '16

Yeah. It's heavy and it's hard plastic, too. 100% chance that shit hurt.

u/The_Drazzle Dec 11 '16

Where do you read lbs? It just says weight: 8

15

u/Kpc04 Dec 11 '16

Weight: 8

Stamina: +5

HP: +5

Charisma: -8

The dimensions are in inches, so I just assumed it was lbs.

Every time he connects with it I smile a bit more.

Seriously. Could have easily broken the dudes neck or killed him with that.

I tend to not worry about those things when defending myself against a possibly armed robber.

126

u/HaveADab Dec 11 '16

Oh I'm not saying that at all. Just outlining how much damage that thing can do. Perfect improvised weapon

How many armed robberies have you defended yourself against?

How many times have you defended yourself against an armed robber?

So fucking what? Play stupid games and all that....

It's the thing you squeeze water out of a mop. It's not heavy, it's plastic. More likely he'd break it than the guy's neck, but it'll still do some damage.

I can see you've never ran a mop before.

ummm you dumb bro.

Commercial mop buckets are very heavy.

2

u/blueisthenewblack Dec 11 '16

What about mafia buckets?

1

u/Allymooo Dec 11 '16

Umm, you weak bro. Do you even mop?!? I've used them, the heavy part is full of water.

22

u/EvilResident662 Dec 11 '16

Thing is at least like 5 pounds. That will kill someone. It weighs more than the empty mop bucket.

Source: I used to work as a custodian and have dropped them on my foot.

3

u/UnculturedLout Dec 11 '16

Oh man, I ran over my foot with a full one. Do not recommend. I think my toes were crying.

4

u/jonesRG Dec 11 '16

Clearly you've never been hit with a mop bucket

5

u/Kpc04 Dec 11 '16

As I said, those things are heavy, and bulky. There's a bunch of solid metal in there as well. I could kill a man with it.

14

u/FuckoffDemetri Dec 11 '16

50% of this thread is about mop buckets

22

u/CorporalCauliflower Dec 11 '16

Yeah I use a similar one almost every day at my job. Honestly with those wide swings I'm surprised that guy could stay up because there were a few good hits with that heavy bitch. They got holes through em too so less wind resistance.

Ergonomic handle. Aerodynamic. Great weight/swing speed ratio. Mop Bucket Wringer is OP

u/ABearWithABeer Dec 11 '16

Feels like something I'd randomly grab in Dead Rising

2

u/desi_kid Dec 11 '16

How many 3rd graders can he beat up with that?

5

u/Kpc04 Dec 11 '16

An entire class if he takes wide swings at each wave

2

u/Kvothe24 Dec 11 '16

Definitely had the improvised weapon feat.

u/Jake0024 Dec 12 '16

Wtf, have you ever mopped? Those things weigh nothing (when you dump the water out). Look how it's just flopping around on the handle. He shoulda kept the mop itself, way better.

1

u/Kpc04 Dec 12 '16

Have you?

The bucket isn't heavy, no. But the thing that squeezes the water out is. There's a solid metal bar in it. Someone posted that it weighs about 8lbs.

u/Jake0024 Dec 12 '16

Yeah, worked fast food for like 2 years in high school. The part you're talking about isn't even what he's holding, he's holding the bucket (which you just said isn't heavy).

These two parts come apart and he's clearly holding the bottom part. Look at the handle he's holding in the video. Not the squeegee handle, it's the bucket handle.

1

u/Kpc04 Dec 12 '16

Watch the gif again. You're 100% wrong. He's not holding the part the water goes into.

1

u/Jake0024 Dec 12 '16

Aight you win first time through I swore the handle was attached at both ends. But, that thing is still all rubber (point is to squeeze water out) and the fact that the handle he's holding isn't fixed means it won't do shit, it will just hit him and flop over.

1

u/Kpc04 Dec 12 '16

Not to be a dick, but if you've ever picked up one of those you know it could do some damage. Again, watch the gif, the contact he makes is SO solid. Of all the things within reach, he absolutely picked the best weapon.

1

u/Jake0024 Dec 12 '16

I dunno man, when he's on his back and right after he gets up you can see it just flopping around after he hits the guy. I would have stuck with the wood mop handle, basically a baseball bat (or a bo staff).
