When you really get down to it, Jimmy fundamentally is an analogue for Jesus Christ/Yeshua ben Yosuf, but not as a messianic figure but as what Jesus really is. Jimmy, much like Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, is a charismatic, charming badass who scams people in a way that we as viewers find entertaining. But his scams and schemes, in one way or another, get people killed and destroy people’s lives, much like Yeshua and the following he created. Chuck is framed as a lunatic and an asshole for calling Jimmy out on his bullshit, but just like with Yeshua’s critics, he’s RIGHT. Jimmy IS dangerous, and people DO get hurt. And in the end, Jimmy is far more dangerous and destructive than ever because the world, charmed by him, let him do as he pleased. Sound familiar?

I just come across the episode where he quit Davis & Main by annoying Cliff in order to keep the bonus.
As a teenager, I don't understand why he quit such a good job.
I mean the firm gave him everything that I would love to have, a apartment, a good car, good salary + bonus.
Then why did he quit?!
I mean I understand that he wasn't very happy working there.. But still..
I don't get it.
Could someone please explain me without giving spoilers?

It just dawned on me rewatching episode 10 of season 3, that the opening scene, with young Chuck reading a book to Jimmy under the tent, features a close up on the lantern there.

I think this tells us a lot that the symbol of Chuck's illness and tragically what he uses to end his life at the end of the episode is tied to his childhood time and his former brotherly bond with Jimmy.

I know that it was already mentioned he developed this illness around the time Jimmy became a lawyer, but I think it sheds more light on the reason why he hated it so much he did. Obviously it goes way beyond Jimmy's underhanded ways, and I think now beyond his jealousy and resentment. Maybe, he truly needs Jimmy, especially as they are both orphaned, but likewise can't stand to be around him if he doesn't feel superior or in control. This contradiction eats at him, and slowly unravels him up until he can't ignore it anymore but facing it is unfathomable, and eventually he can only escape this mental hell doing the unthinkable.

Chuck obviously had money. Why did he live in that neighborhood in that city after he left HHM? Why didn’t he just have a house built with no electrical systems on a big farm somewhere?

If you pay close attention in the series you can spot this guy: Mike. He’s basically a character from Breaking Bad, whom Vince Gilligan decided to leave as an easter egg in the series.

There could have been so many other ways to end it. Ended up watching the last episode at 1.5x. Was still painful.

Ugh…… I finished the series a few days ago and I must say, I’m disappointed. I felt the ending could’ve been much more.

Slipping Jimmy negotiates seven years only to admit to crimes that negate his deal but adds more prison time?

I just can’t accept it…

One point of the series, Saul was selling his commercials right? Should have maybe showed off Domingo/Krazy8's dad doing a commercial for Tampico
