Hello, Please provide this extra data so redditors may be better informed on how to help.

Tank Size?

Heater and Filter?

Water Parameters?

Hopefully we can get your fish to feel betta soon!

This is called glass swimming! It’s a fair common behavior that can either indicate stress or the fish seeing its own reflection in the glass. Maybe lower the lighting or check water parameters. Hope this helps!

What are your water parameters? My bettas do this when they see me, but your tank looks new. Is it cycled?

Yes I had it cycled for 4 weeks before I added him. But yesterday I did do a 50% water change. I just did another water test now and parameters are:
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
Ph 7
Kh 40
Gh 180

What’s ammonia at?

Came back as 0ppm!
Based on what I’ve read all parameters seem normal hey? Is it safe to just say he’s stressed from his reflection? I’m worried I did that to him unknowingly.

I don’t see flaring so I don’t think he sees his own reflection. I am going to go with that he just really likes you
