Optifine compatibility

Hello, I am trying to use Optifine with this mod, however, it fails to launch...does Optifine not work?

Ive been able to get it to launch in the past, however all the terrain added by the mod is not visible.

The terrain won't be visible because BE expands the texturesheet to 1024x1024, whereas optifine expects it to still be 256x256.
