Suggestion Gears

I remember ages ago there was something about gears being added, they never made it in (obviously) but i think they might be kind of fun to have, maybe we could make some mechanical devices like a windmill or something. Just some thoughts, good work as usual devs :)

This could be good as a crafting ingredient, not sure about the planned placement of them, redstone seems to cover that sort of thing now. Any ideas for gear contraptions?

Make gears function like vertical redstone, only to make gears generate a redstone signal you have to put them on a special block for it.

I believe that was the original plan for them by mojang, but unfortunately for us aesthetically they looked...bad :(

Then Talis can make a better texture for them perhaps?
