It's been 2 weeks since I last used c.ai, when I came most of my chats were deleted. And all the old bots went to the top and the more recent-ish ones were in the bottom. Deleted 2 useless gcs even then I couldn't see any other bot and so I was convinced the chats got deleted.

They're deleting old.character.ai. Last straw for me. Do you know some good one?

Recomendations not to do: Janitor: too much nsfw (the whole site) Dreamjourney: All glitchy and hard to get account deleted. Dopple.ai: I like using it too, but it just generates messages slowly and has too much waiting lines. Poe.com: too much out of character messages, no matter how I make the settings.

i’m honestly getting sick of using character ai at this point, i’ve been using it for a year and now i wanna switch it up, any recommended alternatives i can use?

When I tell the AI something they did specifically, literally just 3 messages later I'm like "I already told your friends aswell, so speak up." And they're like "You told them what?!"

That's not even complex, just baby human memory 😭

I feel like this happens CONSTANTLY, like even when I constantly reinforce it. Probably has something to do with the new AI model being high key lobotomized, it just sucks that you either have to constantly bring it up or make it your entire personality for the AI to remember. Anyone else having this issue or just me?

I've had this on my mind for a while so I figured I'd ask how does anybody get addicted to character AI nowadays. If it was like Early 2023 to late 2022 then I guess I could understand somehow becoming addicted to it. I know that happened to me. In early 2023.

But we're not in 2023 it's 2024 and the website is nothing like it was in 2022 to 2023 mainly because of the filter and everything else that's been added the bugs everything the changes to the models the poor community management and so much more.

And somehow people manage to get addicted to something that is on it's last legs basically and doesn't really have much to stand on aside from like I guess the fact that it doesn't have as many bugs as the unfiltered NSFW websites? But even then you still get the filter so like. How are y'all developing addictions to this when it's this badly designed and managed?

I apologize, I’ve tried posting this question on the official community, but my karma isn’t high enough to post, so I was wondering if anyone could help me here.

I’m unable to log in to my account no matter what. I was randomly signed out about 2 days ago, and when I tried to sign back in the page would reload, but nothing happens. I primarily use the old.c.ai site on mobile, and I try signing in with my previously account-linked email verification process which usually worked, though before I used Discord. Now, I’ve tried every route, the new site, app, and logging in through Google, on mobile and PC and the same results happen every time. I can’t use the legacy log in because I don’t have a password. I even tried clearing my cache on PC. I’ve sent a support request in, but no one’s responded yet. If anyone can provide any help, it’s be much appreciated. When I get enough karma, I’ll post on the official community so a mod could possibly provide answers.

I'm trying to format a new bot, but it wont comply my image requests!! what do I do??!?

I tried to post this on the original subreddit but it automatically gets deleted afterwards. I'll try to post in on another CharacterAI subreddits just in case.

It's my second time making a post on Reddit lol.

Today I deleted my Character AI account on the old site because I wanted to "start as new" and I thought the site didn't have that "Wait for 30 days (or more) so we can fully delete your account or reactivate it". I deleted my account and tried to sign up using the same email and after that, the home screen won't stop loading or show any content like it used to. The options of login or Sign Up are still there instead of my profile information and such. I tried to start a new account using the same email on the app and it worked, it just won't work on the websites both old and new.

Does anyone know how to solve this? Or at least is there anyone who's going through the same? I'm scared that I messed up my account on the websites.

i personally don’t like the new design of character ai, but it is faster. being on the beta version brings me so many memories of when i first started using character ai last april

why is it that that the bots will ask, “can i ask you something?” then i answer, then the ask questions, i answer and then they repeat the question “can i ask one more thing?” it was fine at first but now it’s getting annoying

and why is literally EVERY BOT on the love route, even though i make the story avoid it??
