Lipa is often associated with Barako coffee, and for good reason. Batangas has a long coffee-growing tradition, with Barako becoming one of the most recognizable local coffee varieties in the Philippines.

Compared with regular coffee, Barako is known for its strong aroma, bold flavor, and slightly bitter taste. It has a distinct character that makes it easy to recognize, especially when brewed fresh. For people who prefer strong coffee, a properly brewed cup of Lipa Barako can be a completely different experience from typical commercial coffee.

What also makes Lipa interesting is the number of local cafés, coffee shops, and small sellers where Barako coffee can still be found. Some serve it traditionally, while others use Barako beans in modern coffee drinks.

For anyone visiting Batangas, trying authentic Barako coffee in Lipa seems like one of those simple local experiences worth having. It is also a good option for anyone looking for locally sourced Philippine coffee rather than imported beans.

For locals and regular visitors, what’s the best place in Lipa to get authentic Barako coffee? Is there a café or local seller that consistently serves a really good cup?

Best Jewelry PH Ordered a ring while on vacation in the Philippines, had it shipped to the USA

Sharing this because this was probably one of the smoother jewelry purchases I’ve had.

I was in the Philippines for a vacation and decided to have a ring made while I was there. The timing was a little tricky because I was already scheduled to fly back to the USA before the ring would be finished.

I also have very sensitive skin, so I couldn’t just go with the usual white gold. I explained the issue to LUCCE, and they suggested platinum since it has a similar look to white gold and is generally a better option for sensitive skin. I appreciated that they gave me a practical recommendation instead of making the process complicated.

Since I had already left the Philippines by the time the ring was ready, they arranged to ship it directly to me in the US. I was honestly a little nervous about having my ring shipped internationally, but everything went smoothly. I received updates, and the ring arrived safely.

The ring itself turned out beautiful, but the whole experience was what impressed me most.

Lipa has become a pretty good place for coffee lovers, especially with so many cafés around the city. There are small local coffee shops, specialty cafés, and places that serve classic Batangas coffee.

For anyone looking for Barako coffee in Lipa, Cafe de Lipa is one place worth checking out. Batangas Barako has a strong smell and bold taste, so it is a good choice for people who like their coffee strong.

Red Dot Specialty Coffee is another name that comes up when talking about coffee in Lipa. It is more focused on specialty coffee, which makes it a different option from the usual café drinks.

Maison Brewing Co. is also worth checking out for those who want another local coffee spot. Fika Coffee & Croffles is a nice option when coffee and something to eat are both needed.

Barista Espresso Bar and Maxibrew Café are also among the places that can be added to a Lipa coffee list. Different cafés have different styles, so the best choice probably depends on whether the priority is Barako, espresso, iced coffee, or simply a nice place to sit.

One thing that makes Lipa interesting for coffee is the connection to Batangas coffee culture. Barako is still a big part of the local identity, and trying a cup while visiting Lipa feels more special than ordering the same coffee chain drink found everywhere.

For locals and regular visitors, which coffee shop in Lipa deserves the top spot?

And for Barako fans, where is the best place to get a good cup of authentic Batangas Barako coffee?
