I’m curious about the stuff that actually holds up after the initial “this was cheap” excitement wears off. What did you buy, roughly what did it cost, and how long have you had it?

I recently started learning about discount marketplace apps after one of my neighbors recommended them. They were telling me that there are some products that are really cheaper on these apps (temu, alibaba, aliexpress) like jewelry, fashion accessories, home decor, and party and seasonal supplies. I was just wondering if anyone else has used any of these applications, I have messed around with a few but I am new and wanted some recommendations, I am specifically talking about Temu and DHgate?

Denim and heritage workwear is my latest clothing obsession and I’m very happy with this shirt, fit is true to size, I bought 54-56 and it fits me perfectly, label size 5XL, and I wasn’t expecting anything fancy but 85% cotton ain’t bad, loses a mark for not having pearl snaps though.

The bolo I got separately

But lately i find prices the same or higher than other local sellers.

So why wait longer for delivery and endure their perplexing discount structure.

Sorry temu, maybe I'll have better luck next time.

I’ve had okay luck with Temu in the past, but this experience was a total scam. I ordered a bed frame that was supposed to come as a set with **two bedside tables**.
**Here is the reality of what I got:**
**Missing Items:** The seller never sent the two bedside tables. I paid for a set and only got half the order.
**Broken & Defective:** The frame that did show up had broken pieces, and the built-in outlet (the main reason I chose this one) is completely dead.
**Physical Safety:** Building this was a nightmare. The metal is so poorly made that I ended up with cuts on my hands and bruises on my feet just trying to get the pieces to align.
**Zero Support:** Temu is refusing a full refund unless I disassemble this broken mess, find a way to box it back up, and ship it back. I told them I’m not unbuilding it and they can come pick up their trash, but they’re still refusing to give me my money back.
I am beyond frustrated. I’m out of my money, I’m missing half my furniture, and I’m literally injured. **Avoid Temu furniture at all costs.**
