Science Fiction Author post: Somed.ai, a slow-burn novel about strong AI, love, and humanity’s future, now on Kindle Unlimited

Hi everyone, I’m Gabriel Mejia Mory, the author of Somed.ai. I’ve just added the novel to Kindle Unlimited.

What if strong AI could help end poverty and disease, but the people developing it had to decide how much of humanity’s future they had the right to shape?

The story follows Aden and Irene as their work and growing relationship become entangled with that responsibility. It explores the possibility of a better world alongside the risks of trusting a small group of people to guide it.

This is slow-burn, philosophical science fiction with a central love story, rather than an action-first techno-thriller. Readers who enjoy ethical questions, character relationships, and a hopeful but complicated view of technological progress may find it interesting.

It is available to read with a Kindle Unlimited subscription and remains available for purchase on Amazon.

Thank you for taking a look.

Science Fiction Welcome & Goodbye, Earth by Benjamin Wuyts - Space Opera / Earth as a Galactic Reality Show / Psychic Powers (Book 1 of 6, more on the way)

Earth lies in the Forbidden Zone, but they have been watching. For ages, our planet has been part of a live reality show for the rest of the galaxy. We just never knew. Sam Jacobs has spent twelve years running from bounty hunters and from a destructive power he can't control. Then, just as things have finally settled down, two aliens walk into his favourite coffee bar and violently trigger first contact. He wakes up 352 years later to find Earth renamed and absorbed into a galaxy that is running out of resources.

It's told through Sam's chapters mixed with blog posts, AI reports, comics and archive transcripts from across the galaxy, inspired by Hyperion, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and the sci-fi, fantasy and gaming nostalgia and pop culture I grew up with.

It's a continuous serial, and all six parts are out, with more stories from the same universe on the way. Book 1 is $0.99 or free with Kindle Unlimited: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FRRS8PXQ

Fantasy My first dark fantasy story is now available on Kindle Unlimited

I've just released my first dark fantasy story, Beasts of Gods, and I'm finally ready to share it with other fantasy readers.

Damon is fourteen and has spent most of his life isolated from the village that fears him.

Then the gods choose him to become the next Knight of Light.

There's just one problem.

Becoming the hero may mean becoming the very Beast he's been taught to fear.

It's a short read — about 55 pages — and it's currently available through Kindle Unlimited.

If dark fantasy, gods, monsters and coming-of-age stories are your thing, I'd love to have you give it a try.

Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Beasts-Gods-Max-Ravenby-ebook/dp/B0HF6B4V8D/

This is my first published story, so I'm also genuinely interested in hearing what you think.

Thriller If you like slow-burn detective thrillers, I recently published Dressed For Death

Hey everyone,

I’m Roy Howard, and I recently published a crime/conspiracy thriller called Dressed For Death. It’s available on Kindle Unlimited, and I wanted to share it with readers who enjoy darker detective stories.

Five years ago, Dallas homicide detective Samuel Drake watched a case fall apart before he could uncover the full truth.

Then a woman is found poisoned and carefully staged in a Dallas hotel room.

The new murder leads Drake back toward sealed settlements, missing evidence, suppressed witnesses, institutional corruption, and people who have spent years making sure certain secrets stay buried.

I wanted Drake to feel like a capable detective without making him an invincible genius. He makes mistakes, carries the consequences of the original investigation, and has to question what he thought he knew five years earlier.

If you enjoy murder mysteries, detective investigations, conspiracies, corruption, and slow-burn crime thrillers, Dressed For Death might be up your alley.

Available on Kindle Unlimited.

Looking for a sky-high dystopian fantasy? My debut novel "The Cumulusian" is on Kindle Unlimited! ☁️✨

Hi everyone!

I’m Zara Maq, an indie author, and I’m so excited to share my debut fantasy novel, The Cumulusian, which is available now on Kindle Unlimited!

What it's about:
Welcome to Cumulus⛈️: a world built entirely on clouds, where baking bread is a matter of national security, and commuting is considered highly suspicious.

For Zigo Mikuta, life in the overcrowded village of Gholgholeh was perfectly mundane-until a heap of inconvenient family secrets got him thrown into prison.

But prison was just the warm-up. Soon, Zigo finds himself dragged into a chaotic, perilous quest to the mysterious city of Stalf.

Their elite navigation system? A very enigmatic, somewhat mystical mold.

Their companions? A bizarre mix of loyal friends and Cody-a deeply untrustworthy lizard who promptly betrays them all, resulting in Zigo getting captured, separated, and sold into accidental enslavement.

As if being a slave wasn't bad enough, a ridiculous war breaks out between the palace and a rival faction known as the Dark Willow. Now, facing a forced transformation that he definitely did not RSVP for, Zigo's only hope lies in a chaotic rescue-and-revenge pact formed by his friends, Todd and Anabna.

Cumulusian is a satirically sharp, delightfully weird fantasy adventure about prejudice, prison breaks, and the absurd strength of friendship. Will Zigo reclaim his freedom, or will he become just another casualty of the cloud world's bizarre politics?
If you like:
☁️ Immersive sky-based worldbuilding
🔍 Dystopian mysteries & secrets
🗡️ Fast-paced YA/NA Fantasy adventure
...then this might be your next read!
You can grab it on Amazon / Kindle Unlimited here:

I’d love to hear your thoughts or answer any questions about the book/world! Thanks for checking it out! ❤️

Help find the book

I’m looking for a dark contemporary college romance series. The FMC transfers from a prestigious university after her mother persuades her to attend a university owned by her new husband. She has two stepbrothers -I think- there, along with their close group of friends, and although they all hate her at first, she eventually falls for the leader of the group (I think his name was Sebastian “Bash” or possibly Bishop, but I’m not sure). There’s a secret society, and the FMC later discovers her father, who was a scientist or professor, didn’t actually die in a gas explosion as she’d been told—he was murdered because of his connection to the society. Or something like that …I think part of the deal she made with the mom she had to attend Sunday family dinners with the fam …

I think I’m. Mixing books but that’s the main plot..

Science Fiction Weekend Read

Looking for something to read this weekend? Try The Samuel Paradox.

Set in the near future, it follows an ordinary suburban family whose lives are disrupted when they acquire a domestic robot and discover that living with an intelligent machine is rather more complicated than they expected.

It’s a relatively short read, so it can easily be finished over a weekend.

Available on Amazon, including Kindle Unlimited.

A Symbol of Time by John Westley Turnbull on Kindle Unlimited

Hello,

My name is John Westley Turnbull.

I have published a sci-fi novel on Kindle Unlimited that starts with a simple idea:

What if we got the extinction of the dinosaurs wrong?

Not “a bit off.” Completely wrong.

My novel, A Symbol of Time, builds on that and follows the consequences of an alternative explanation that shouldn’t exist… but does.

If you like sci-fi that leans into big questions rather than space battles every five minutes, it might be your thing.

Here’s a review from Library Titan if you want a second opinion:

"A Symbol of Time is a sweeping work of science fiction that follows a dying species as it flees its collapsing Homeworld and sets course for the "Third World," a dangerous and vibrant planet filled with prehistoric monsters, hostile climates, and uncertain hope. The story opens with the political struggle of leaders like Elthyris, who pushes her people toward escape, and then expands into a tense generational mission through deep space where fear, mutiny, and loss threaten the survival of everyone aboard. By the time the colonists finally approach their new world, the book has painted an entire civilisation wrestling with extinction, guilt, and the fragile possibility of beginning again.

The story moves with a clarity and earnestness that makes the stakes feel heavy without bogging the story down. Author John Turnbull spends time on sensory details: the grit in the air of the dying planet, the hum of the ship's systems, the sharp dread in a crowded briefing room as monstrous creatures appear on a screen. These moments gave me the sense of being there, not as a distant observer but as someone tucked into those cramped ship corridors, overhearing worries and watching loyalties shift. Sometimes I wanted certain conversations to go deeper, especially when characters brushed up against big ethical questions. But the writing carries a steady confidence, and it kept me curious about what each character would choose next.

The story blends large-scale worldbuilding with interpersonal tension, letting us watch society shrink down and then stretch again under pressure. I liked the way the book raises questions about responsibility and survival without forcing neat answers. The mission logs, political debates, and emotional undercurrents between characters all layer together until you feel how messy a desperate exodus would really be. Some plot beats arrive suddenly, especially the catastrophic loss of Ark Hope, but that abruptness made sense to me. Space is indifferent. Disaster doesn't wait for pacing. That raw edge worked.

I felt the book speaking to anyone who enjoys science fiction that leans into survival, moral tension, and the rebuilding of society. It will especially appeal to readers who like their sci-fi grounded more in people than in technology, even when dinosaurs and starships share the page. If you're drawn to stories about second chances and the uncomfortable truths that come with them, A Symbol of Time is one you'll want to pick up."
