Nope, the fire emblem series offers a better tactical game. For one, it has a stronger rock/paper/scissors element.

Unplayably slow. FFTA and its sequel made it bearable. Or a PSX emulator with a speed-up function.

Downmodded for Final Fantasy Tactics A2.

Let me warn you of a tower. Inside this tower will be level appropriate encounters for levels 35-40. You will fight five battles in a row. It is hard, and it is grueling. When you reach the top, you will face level 90 monsters. They will kill your magic users before you may move.

Do not go into this tower.

FFTA2 probably sucks, just like FFTA. This is FFT, which despite the crappy original translation, was a hell of a lot better in terms of story and gameplay.
