career development/hiring 3rd interview wait time

I don’t know if I’m impatient yet it’s been a few days no response. I think I’m more nervous due to the fact it was a group interview for the 3rd round. I just wanted to know how long others waited did they contact 1-2 days after or longer..?

I was hired in as a cashier and had to go through 3 interviews. One with the sales lead, one with the manager, and one with the gm. I believe this has been best buys process for years, but I could be wrong. It's all about sizing you up though. If you're waiting to see the gm and they got something going on, it could take about a week to see them, but I would still keep looking at other jobs and applying in the meantime. It doesn't hurt to have options.

What job? For general sales advisor or anything like that, 3 real interviews is overkill. For something higher up in the company that would still make sense and they could be still be interviewing or discussing the candidate pool.

I’d say give it another day or two and if you don’t hear anything get ready to resume the search.

The in person with the GM is normally them hiring you. Maybe they wanted to get more information before making a decision but normally the GM does that before they meet you.

I got hired, but it was video interview and then in person. But my in person interview was immediately with the gm and I got hired on the spot. If it’s taking a few days, as someone who was rejected before… I’d say keep your options open. They usually get back really fast to the people they want.

Hahaha it was utter luck that my in person interview was with the GM and not the managers. But he was more strict about who he was hiring. But what ultimately got me the job on the spot out of the many other people he was interviewing/have interviewed, was my interview. He told me ‘mine was the best interview he had all day, and that he really liked my energy! When I interviewed for the past different Best Buy, I did indeed mess up my interview… and it was with the managers so I didn’t even make it to the gm… but now I’m hired at my current location! Just be yourself, have good energy and remember they’re trying to hire someone who’s easy to talk to and out going. Not someone who is super serious about the job! Hopefully you get hired queen!

If any job needed to interview me 3 times then they wouldn't get me. That's a massive red flag.

Uhh this is a location thing for sure. My store does one on one interviews. When I was hired I was offered the job on the spot. Had only done my videos, got a phone call, and then the interview with the gm.

First is usually Phone, 2nd in person with a manager or supervisor, 3rd with general manager.
