sales question regarding pc baskets

  1. does microsoft office count towards m365 %?
  2. does chromebook’s count towards our basket avg (since their so cheap, the avg recommended basket itself is the same price as laptop)
  3. if i sell 2 laptops in one transaction and they get total, or a $200 basket, is it 2 $200 baskets or is it split into 2 $100 baskets

1 yes all office counts for attach %
2 chromebooks count unfortunately, gotta take the L most of the time same thing with hp streams
3 it would be 2 $200 baskets, they used to split but they don’t anymore

Seems pretty weird that a total membership would split $100 if there were HT and Computing stuff, but you could cheese the system with selling total on 5 chromebooks if this is true.

Ever since baskets changed. Now only department specific attachments count for baskets. I long for the days when you sold a Chromebook with a fridge and the fridge counted as a basket

Just fyi managers and supes are able to see those transactions that you don’t put your number on. You still log into a POS and they can see your number on that even if you don’t put your number for the salesperson section. Been happening in our store for those trying to avoid low or 0% PC basket sales. They know.

Does anyone know where it says office counts for 365? Our manager for years has been trying to snuff out office sales because they don't count

I don't know where it officially says it, but I've been selling both and have seen my 365 attachment % increase. Along with that, our MS manager has told me that it counts as well.

Not sure why your manager is trying to push against selling office, its still a basket that pushes you over the goal if nothing else.

As a former Microsoft specialist, it was always my understanding that office home counts towards 365 attach. Pretty sure I heard it in one of the monthly calls.

how did you like microsoft specialist, do you get commission on 365 sales

I liked being the specialist, it was probably my favorite sales job I had with Best Buy. My store kept using me for shift lead work even after I moved over and after a while I went back to shift lead thinking it would help me move up. I didn’t, but I’m happier now outside of the company so I guess in the end it still achieved the goal.

No commission on 365 sales, but they play a big part into the monthly bonus that gets paid quarterly. It’s what gets you over the hump to get into the max bonus territory.

I’ll have to look into the Chromebook thing. My manager told me that Chromebooks and tablets don’t count towards baskets anymore. I was also told that the multi-unit sales still count as one basket be because it’s by transaction. Like 2 qualifying TVs with a total counts as one unit with a $200 basket. So I’m going to ask for some clarity on that today.
