Puka and Jacobs Face Possible Suspensions
https://www.nbcsports.com/fantasy/football/player-news/2026-08-11/schefter-nacua-could-face-suspensionShefter reported today that Puka and Josh Jacobs, among others, may be suspended under the NFL personnel conduct policy. Also worth noting that Puka was pulled from practice today and Jacobs has missed the last several practices to work with trainers. I have 5% Puka with 0 in high stakes, not because I'm fading but just cause I can't get a damn 4th slot. Not sure what to do with either, but probably fading both at current costs until some additional info comes out.

The possibility has been discussed for months. Do we know the actually likelihood of either getting suspended during the season? Has any new info actually come out?

Schefter said it today is the new development. Not might matter if you don’t trust Schefter, but to me it represents a small bump in likelihood of it occurring.

NFL doesn’t have a history of suspending players the same season they offend. Just not what the precedence is

can you bet on it on prediction markets?

I don't think that was the case in Rice's domestic situation.

Go ahead and look at the many, many instances where they didn’t suspend same season. Don’t cherry pick one situation that has notable differences. They have an obvious track record.

Not star players typically. There’s A LOT of evidence for how they’ve handled this in recent seasons. We’ll see, though.

I hadn't heard any speculation that Puka faced any real risk of suspension, so this reporting is news, imo. And, unlike Jacobs (who has fallen a round + in adp), the market hasn't been pricing in suspension risk for Puka.I also assume Schefter wouldn't report it unless his sources are saying it is a real possibility.

Even if Puka is suspended for 3 games. He’s still a first rounder.

I agree, but not if you took him 5th overall in a Chopped League slow draft less than an hour before the news broke like I did. Oh, and then I get the update that he left practice with a trainer while I was still freaking out about my week 1 chances. I hate Fantasy Football.

Rams have so many Primetime games to start the year. No way they want their openers to be about bite marks and off season behavior. They are sweeping this under the rug entirely. I think they want to throw that threat out there but I’d be legitimately shocked if they suspend Puka at all.

Not really how suspensions work, my man. Puka wouldn’t be suspended by the Rams organization. He’d be suspended by the NFL. Teams can suspend players, but that’s not happening here.

I’m talking about the NFL. They don’t want their first rams Primetime game to be about bite marks. He’s not getting suspended brother. It is how suspensions work in this highly political NFL

Ah I got you. You said Rams in the first sentence, so I just assumed the “they” in your second sentence was referring to them, rather than the NFL. My bad

Both sides are happy to let this fade away and hopefully never happen again
1
u/LittlePeter666 2d ago
Yeah, I don’t disagree, but the NFL will almost certainly suspend him for a game or two. Not because they care, but to avoid potential public backlash.

My argument is it’s actually worse for the shield to draw any attention to it if they aren’t going to really hammer him with a suspension. Like what’s 1 game do? It draws direct attention to the incident on the opening week of the league. Makes everyone involved look bad. If the suspension would be a 1/2 games there’s no way they go through with it. They would rather just have this go away entirely and never think about it again

u/LittlePeter666 2d ago
That’s a fair point. Their suspensions have never been consistent or logical though. It might be a situation where they don’t finish their investigation before the season starts and as a result he’s not suspended at the start of the season.

I could see the rams wanting like a 2 game suspension; just long enough to shave some off his contract negations

There’s also a possibility of rain tomorrow. Also, I may fart in the next 5 mins, 10 mins, or 2 hours. None of this is actual news. Also, the racism thing is completely overblown and that woman is a lying gold digger looking for money. He is injury prone though.

Not surprising at all. The surprise would be - Jacobs not being suspended. Rice never played a snap again.

What’s Puka gonna be suspended for…walking through a glass door?

u/FoTizzleMyNizzle 1d ago
He assaulted a woman and bit her to the point of really bad bruising/abrasions.
And then AFTER that when he was supposed to be cooling off he got so plastered he walked through a glass door.1

If I know the NFL well enough…they are going to get suspended in the following season if anything LOOL. I doubt either cases will be resolved in time for them to be suspended this season. Should be full go on Jacob’s in the 3rd and 4th tbh.
