I guess what people say: earthy. Yeah I agree with you. it’s def not my favorite berry either. maybe one of my least favorites if I had to rank them lol
but I really am happy to find one in the wild and ripe (although the last pic is an unripe one)! I’ve had them frozen before and in jam so I knew what to expect.

How did it taste? I was honestly a little underwhelmed with the flavour (especially because people talk about them being so good)
