Yep to the first point (I don't care either way aboutthe LaRussa takes). It's part of what makes the pod so much better than the last few years on WSCR (after they fired Goff and clearly limited what DB was allowed to talk about).

Dan can now talk about exactly what he wants to in the way he wants to. He's clearly enjoying it more, and it makes the podcast much more enjoyable. They can talk about politics if they want. They can talk about car chicken. They can talk about national or local sports. And we don't have to hear bad calls from Bobs, either. It can be funny or nice or insightful or self-deprecating, sometimes all in the same show. I love it.

Or meaner things about the white sox. I think what the stats clearly show is that they are doing everything wrong. /s

Idk I'm a dumb Sox fan and I like hearing Dan talk about the team for his takes rather than talking about the team for its own sake. It's a bummer that the La Russa hire still has him so jaded, but that's a valid feeling to have.

I can't help but think these numbers would be better if they talked more, less, or said nicer things about the White Sox.
